Florida at Los Angeles 11/6/08

I'm back in Ottawa at the folks place for a couple of days, so I get to undwind after a long day and watch some hockey on their 9 foot screen!

The Cats are my 2nd favorite team, plus I have money riding on them tonight (the odd was too good to turn down) so if anyone else is going to be watching this game, feel free to talk about it here.

It's less than three minutes in but so far it's been end to end hockey with a few decent hits to boot. Hopefully it keeps up at this pace!

well theyd score more if they ever got a shot. im not counting them out yet though. it IS the kings....

good game so far though as a kings fan. theyre up, and hitting, and playing d.

This is a description of the 2nd scrap in this game...I accidentally posted it here first (the two threads do have the same name...) but I figure I may as well leave it anyway. Description below.

Gauthier vs Campbell

They're in the Kings zone talking and decide to drop the gloves. Gauthier takes off his lid as he's wearing a visor, so Campbell goes to take off his lid (even though he's not wearing a visor; the code) but as Campbell is taking his lid off Gauthier grabs on and throws a shot. The shot misses and Campbell knows he'd better get going, but unfortunately there wasn't much more to it. They both throw another shot or two and fall. I don't know if anything really landed.

Clear draw in a boring scrap.

Even though it sounds like Gauthier was being a little cheap, I don't know that he was. I just think he was expecting Campbell to leave the bucket on as he wasn't wearing a visor, so as soon as Gauthier sheded his bucket he started to throw. On first viewing, I have no problem with it.

Why did LA have to win? Now we are tied in last with the Islanders. I sense yet another playoff year without Florida's name in it......

Come on man, you really thought florida had a chance this year? Do you really follow hockey or just started watching?

I've been following hockey for 8 years. I was just hoping the new coach would bring somthing that would give us a sliver of a chance. I in no way expected them to go far though.....
