Buffalo at Pittsburgh 12/8/08

3rd matchup between these two teams in 3 weeks, and 2nd in the past 10 days.

Another day, another injury for the Pens - this time Hal Gill will be out of the lineup with a shoulder injury that he says is minor. They also said Fleury's injury was "minor," and he has missed nearly a month. Their man games lost due to injury is going to pile up the way it did last season at this rate.

How about we get a 60 minute effort tonight, boys? I've had my fill of the 25 minute games you've been playing much of this season, or deciding to play when you absolutely have to (see the 7 wins and 16 total points when trailing after 2 periods as evidence of that). Also, a few goals from the wingers couldn't hurt either.

Probable lines:

Dupuis-Crosby-Satan
Fedotenko-Malkin-Sykora
Cooke-Staal-Minard
Pesonen-Talbot-Godard

Orpik-Letang
Lovejoy-Scuderi
Eaton-Goligoski

Sabourin

Is Andrew Peters back yet?

Peters Questionable and proably wont dress. No Kaltea either. This game might go fightless.

I'm just hoping we get a win, I dont care about 60 minutes tonight. This team is so beat up I'll take a win any way we can get it. Fluery started taking shots and skating yesterday so thats a big help to our roster if he can go soon.

You know, I give up. The Pens are the worst team I have ever seen when playing with a multiple-goal lead. It's like they get up 2 goals, and think the damn game is over. Having horrible defense and bad giveaways doesn't help either.

Looks like another come-from-ahead loss in the making.

It's like they have a disease or something. They get a lead and it slowly....just.....drifts.....away.....

They need some sort of shot in the arm and fast.

The only good thing is that they seem to always win games that they are down by multiple goals also.
