Buffalo at Montreal 3/28/09

This is a HUGE game for both teams. Buffalo is now only a few points behind for the last playoff spot held by Montreal. Judging by the performance last night, this could be a very exciting game.

Actually Clyde ... the Goose tried to take on Ponikarovsky who bumped into Miller. I guess they were a little sensitive since he just came back - but I digress ... Kubina stepped in for him. Hey ... I realize Kubina is no Tim Wallace, but c'mon.

so he goes after ponikorovsky and ends up with Kubina..if that was Lucic this thread would have 900 pages calling him a spot picker...Guastad actualy fought a tough guy in Mayers and did ok, but for the most part gaustad is WAY more of a spotpicker than Lucic....and at 6'5" 230 lbs he usauly the biggest guy on the ice..he reminds me of a less scoring Scott Hartnell.

Gainey's top line of Koivu, Kovalev, and Tanguay seems to be kicking a$$ these days

Yes, and since I'll be at the game tonight, I hope they continue to kick some ass tonight..because other then the scoreboard tonight, I doubt the Habs will be kicking many asses otherwise. Dressing the same winning lineup as the past 2 games, and you all know what that means.

And I realize I over used the word "tonight" too much in the first opening sentence.

Paul Gaustad is no way 6'5" 230 lbs. I know that's what he is listed at in some places, but in person he sure doesn't look that big, I mean I didn't have a scale or anything, but ....

Maybe you didn't watch the game or keep up on the background so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and clue you in.

1) Miller was "hit" and injured, thus causing a slide that may keep them out of the playoffs yet again.

2) It was Millers first game back from said injury

3) Poni ran into Miller

4) Gaustad went after him to send a message and Kubina stepped in for Poni - both guys sticking up for teammates

5) Gaustad had already fought one of the top 3 toughest leafs dressed - and he is by no means a fighter either.

6) No one evr comes on here and bungee jumps of Gaustads wang like you guys do with the great Milan. People know he isn't a great fighter, and is just basically a 4th line grinder. He is not made out to be the next greatest power forward.

7) Lucic is scared of BGL

8) the end
