MacDermid is in the lineup. Ott has a history with the Bruins. Thornton and Scott had a previous beef...and you know Miller and some of the other guys are still angry about last season even if they won't admit it. Scott knows he was signed for games like this. I think it's going to get ugly...
I dunno. He could have just said something like "that was over last season" and left it at that. He's either really trying to "sell" it .... Or he means it. Given his history I'd say the second one. They are at the bottom of the division. Theirentality is the 2 pts are more important. Their actions also seem to me to say that they aren't looking to make it a brawl.... Kaleta is out- they could have called up Tarnasky.... McCormick is still "injured" with the worlds longest- dislocated finger. Not sure... But I think Regher is still out and Sulzer in. I'm not getting my hopes up for more than a couple of tilts.

Scott has a chance to put Thornton down. As long as he can focus all the adrenaline that's going be flowing through his big frame.

Scott should use all 3 of his fights tonight...this is his time to shine.
He should target
Lucic
Thornton
Chara

and if any falls through MacDermid....

Imagine if Ott runs Rask? Or Miller gets run again. I'm getting ahead of myself...I know.

Or there is one fight to set the tone and that's it.

Hopefully it's Thornton-Campbell-MacDermid to start out the game for a potential Devils-Rangers type of start.

True. It is too bad the Sabres didn't call someone tough up for this game.
Where's "Dr Hook" McCracken when you need him?

Since Buffalo's the visitor, don't they put their line out first?

Unless Ruff starts Scott, we won't we see a faceoff fight. Buffalo cannot match the B's fourth line man-for-man.

I have been waiting for this game for awhile. Sucks Kaleta is injured. I'm thinking we see a couple fights and hopefully a very hard hitting, scrummy game. Go Bruins.

Yeah, Kaleta being out...means this game takes a big blow. They should of called up Tarnasky.

Is it true that Kaleta is going to be replaced by Gerbe?

On the bright side... he IS a bit of a **** disturber too. Not Kaleta level, but didn't he have some issue with Chara before?

The Bruins are just stacked too deep. If McCormick was healthy, Kaleta was in, Tarnasky called up and Finley not lost on waivers, I would have felt a lot better.

Any way you cut it it's going to be a long night for John Scott.

I think you're correct about Gerbe/Chara....Gerbe can be feisty. Difference being Kaleta will at least occasionally drop them, and Gerbe has a small selection (pun intended) of players he could fight realistically without dying. (Marchand,Krejci,Ference) most likely.

Like I said in the possible fights thread, I think Scott should empty the tank and use all 3 of his allotted FM's tonight. The spotlight is on him. Hopefully we get a few undercards as well....but Scott will dictate what happens.

If I was a Bruins fan, my biggest concern is Steve Ott "accidentally" falling on Tuukka Rask and injuring him.

Aside from Rask getting injured that would only escalate the action. I'd welcome Ott acting up!

Ott is dumb but not that stupid. If that were to happen he may not leave the ice in one piece. Typically in the new NHL that type of retaliation doesn't happen. But if there is one team actually willing and able to cross that line it is the Bruins.

Personally, I think Thornton may have issues with Scott's size & reach and for that matter I don't think Lucic is a good match up either. He's very strong but isn't a real fast puncher. Factor in the 4 inches and 40 lbs it could be trouble. As for Thornton what a tough match up. Six inches and 50 lbs could give him a lot of trouble. I know he did well against boogey but I don't think boogey was at his best . Take nothing from Thornton he's a great tactical fighter and usually finds a way to hang in or upset big guys.

This leads to Chara who obviously matches up best size wise. Will Scott beat Thornton or Lucic and force a battle of the giants. It's kind of what I want to see and think may happen! Probably wishful thinking.

what you talking about? Lucic has one of the quickest rights in the league.
