Boston at Toronto 2/2/13

Bruins Blog Game Info
Quote:
Puck drop: 7:05 p.m. EST

Record: Bruins, 5-1-1; Maple Leafs, 4-3-0.

TV/radio info: NESN (Jack Edwards, Andy Brickley, Naoko Funayama), 98.5 The Sports Hub (Dave Goucher, Bob Beers)

Projected lineup:

Milan Lucic-David Krejci-Nathan Horton
Brad Marchand-Patrice Bergeron-Tyler Seguin
Chris Bourque-Chris Kelly-Rich Peverley
Lane MacDermid-Gregory Campbell-Jamie Tardif

Zdeno Chara-Johnny Boychuk
Dennis Seidenberg-Dougie Hamilton
Andrew Ference-Adam McQuaid

Tuukka Rask
Tim Thomas

Healthy scratches: Aaron Johnson (D).

Injured: Danny Paille (head); Shawn Thornton (concussion).

Storylines: Danny Paille, who took a stick to the head late in Thursday's loss to the Sabres, did not make the trip from Boston. Doctors preached caution, said Julien, who offered few details about Paille's injury ... Shawn Thornton will miss at least another week after suffering a concussion Thursday when decked by Sabres strongman John Scott in a brief skirmish early in the first period ... The Bruins don't play again until Wednesday in Montreal, allowing them to enjoy one of only two three-day breaks this month ... Chris Lee and Ian Walsh will be the referees, while Brad Lazrowich and Mark Shewchyk will call the lines.
McLaren and Orr are both in for the Leafs.

I see MacDermid taking on one or both of those guys, and Looch taking on McLaren in order to renew their dormant rivalry.

I fully expect the Bruins to come out hitting tonight after getting humbled by Buffalo the other night, and I'm sure the Leafs will match.

I'm hoping after Thursday night, the B's come out with a renewed vigor, hit the Leafs out of the building! And Bouques boy better accomplish something tonight, anything! We need a physical statement, rebound game here!

I don't give a **** about tonights score. I don't care if Seguin and Hamilton get a hat trick each, and Kessel doesn't even get a shot and the domination continues.

Orr, McLaren, Fraser, Lucic, McQuaid, MacDermid. Hopefully there are 5 fights tonight.

Orr vs Lucic
McLaren vs Lucic
Orr vs McDermid
McLaren vs McDermid
Fraser vs McQuaid.

I'd be happy with the first 4 fights though, when is the last time there was a multi-fight game from 2 people?

I think Lucic will want to try to get some revenge from his last fight with Orr, or at least he should.

Has the makings of a beautiful game, just what both of these teams need.

To me there never really seems to be much animosity between the Bruins and Leafs. Perhaps, tonight is the night...both teams have the appropriate players dressed. A gong show type of game could be just what the Bruins need.

Here' to hoping.

Is McDermid capable of fighting a true HW like Orr? Or is that just bs or wishful thinking?

Also, hopefully Phaneuf throws a big questionable hit to set things off. I know he and Horton have a bit of a rivalry...so maybe they go at it.

He's a jersey jab kinda guy, not in Orrs league, imho. Looch/Orr rematch would be sweet!

Is Fraser definitely in? It's too bad that he and Komisarek aren't in. Haha, Komi can make things interesting as well.

“We didn't take McLaren off waivers to sit in the press box" Carlyle said this morning at the morning skate.

He's fought A LOT of tough guys down in the A last couple years.

In his 1st NHL scrap, he took on and did pretty damn well against Andrew Peters. 2nd scrap, he took on Mike Rupp. Both those guys (especially Peters) are in Orr's weight class.

He would definitely be the underdog against Orr, but if Orr asks, I don't see why Mac would not oblige.

Sorry for the confusion, I meant Mark Fraser. Any chance he and Komi plays?

Nope that's my bad, Frazer/Fraser, got em backwards. Fraser should be in over Komi, but I'm not trusting any source right now.

"Mike Komisarek, a healthy scratch on Thursday, could return to the lineup, although that was uncertain following the morning skate."

Projected Leafs lines:

Van Riemsdyk - Bozak - Kessel
McClement - Grabovski - Kulemin
Frattin - Kadri - Komarov
Orr - Steckel - McLaren

Kostka - Phaneuf
Gunnarsson - Liles
Franson - Fraser

Reimer
Scrivens

It's nice isn't it. Being a Leafs fan and confusing the names of our multiple tough guys rather than worrying about not having one at all.

I know it won't last, but f*ck it's fun.
