Lane MacDermid recalled. Will replace Daniel Paille on fourth line.

This is awesome. I know that there is a very big letdown possibilty but the anticipation of a game with this many fighters is rare in itself. If Bosotn starts there muscle Torts will counter and it will be on early. I actually hope that doesn't happen. I don't want to see two fights in the first minute followed by a tranquil game. I would rather se Lucic throw a huge hit early and get a game filled with energy. The Rangers have been very laid back recently so I need a hit from Marchand or Lucic to get it going.

I have to have some fun with the matchups. The Rangers have been towards the top of the league as far as playing a tough game but when it comes to the hypothetical fight matchups, they were mid pack probably. Now they get a big boost.

Scott - Macdermid
Rupp - Thornton
Lucic - Prust
Bickel - McQuaid
Campbell - Dubinsky

Rupp or Scott will have to go twice if Chara wants to fall down tomorrow.

Best chance for a line brawl. Boston puts out McQuaid, MacDermid, and Thornton. Rangers put out Rupp, Scott, and Bickel.

Chara and Scott fighting is like a double edged sword. Part of me wants to see it because its the two biggest and arguably 2 of the toughest guys going at it and the other part of me doesnt wanna see it because when it comes to Charas balance in fights he looks like a baby taking his first steps. Its probably some of the worst fighting balance ive ever seen. But i cant hate on him cause hes a great player and tough as nails.

But this game has way to much potential to not be excited. One of my prayers in church tomorrow is going to be to have a highly spirited game. (cant pray for violence in church haha)

Thornton vs Scott (enforcer vs enforcer)
MacDermid vs Prust
McQuaid vs Rupp

Lucic and Chara won't fight

why do you guys think it would be mcquaid and prust and not lucic and prust?
Because Looch would maul Prust.

Calm down little man, I know they've fought before. It still makes more sense for Prust to fight McQ. Lucic is a cut or two or three above Prust and given enough chances to fight him would put a hurting on the man.

This has the makings of a potentially great game. I have a feeling since this game is on NBC this may fizzle out. Buttman won't want violence on a nationally televised game.

No way! Too many stellar matchups for this game to fizzle out. As long as the refs decide to let the teams battle it out and not call phantom misconduct calls for guys talking to each other, we should be in for a good one. We've all seen refs take over games with bullsh*t like that.

Enjoy fellas!

Wasn't the Canucks/Bruins game on NBC also?

Can't wait for this one today! Was just checking this Lane MacDermid kid out on youtube and seems very willing to fight. Is he Paul MacDermids kid?

32 fights in a season and a half in the AHL.

I checked him out on youtube also, not so sure he should do much more than try to tie Scott up.

MacDermid will hold you off with a left and throw from long range with the right. Jersey jab, jersey jab, jersey jab....

He is big but not in Scott's league as far as size and strength go. My gut feeling is that he will have trouble trying to fight from outside with scott's longer reach. however, Macdermid really doesn't switch up his style very much and would try to make a go of it the way he always does regardless of scott's reach.

Macdermid scored a quick win over Bickel before. I think that rupp-macdermid would be a great battle.
