That is quite possibly the reason Miller isn't there. Alot of people forget these teams are made up of non playoff teams and 1st round losers for the most part. The European teams are represented by their National Teams with the odd NHLer who isn't in the playoffs added in. The US and Canada don't "select" teams...they pretty much ask who they want...if that players says no..they move to the next guy. Both teams have a set list of guys they approach to play in the Worlds, but that list and the final rosters rarely match.

Why is Burish on the roster? I haven't had the pleasure of seeing him play does he do more than fight?

Burish played in practically every game for the Hawks this past season and can play. he captained Wisconsin 2 years ago I believe. Not a stickworker, but he can grind and skate. Not a bad shot either.

pink you are right about him bein a captain for the badgers. and he can play (not just fight). good pk man, a nack for scoring the odd goal here and there. tough and rugged kid that will lay his heart out there for his country. more than i can say for the players who have been in the olympics the last couple times.

Ya I'd much rather watch Adam Burish play hard and fight for his team than the heartless Mike Modano lace up for the Yanks again.

Not going to lie, I have never been a big fan of Marleau or his style of play. He always seemed like a pretty boy that won't get his nose dirty or take the extra effort of putting his body on the line for the benefit of the team.

Ivanans is only reason why to follow this team.

After last night's loss Ivanans stated, that he would love to drop the mitts, if not the strict rules of IIHF.
