Well that was a kick-ass last quarter of the show. Nice to see The Governor acting a little more Governor-y. Hope they pull back on psycho-Rick a bit and just leave it to the telephone. And can we have the happy Glenn and Maggie back? Their drama isn't working for me.

the Governor on the tv show is the biggest waste of a character ever. ever.

I'm starting to think the zombies or even the governor isn't the most dangerous thing in the apocalypse.
It's befriending Carol lol.

Last 10-20 minutes aside, this show better right the ship so to speak. I'm almost getting to the point of not really being interested in where this is all going.
I could do with a lot less Andrea, Glen and Maggie....and more Darryl (which is what most people feel) |

Well, that was better than last week, nice to see some things flesh out but where did Tyreese and company go? They just disappeared? Something tells me they will be back.
Michonne gives Rick a reason for her to stay, she is just lethal with that katana. The beginning was, of course, retarded. Rick seeing ghosts but I guess it's kind of a necessary evil but they are just making him look so bad with it. It was nice to see him get over it and be involved in the battle. The truck pooping zombies on the prison lawn was pretty funny and ingenius on the guvna's part. 6 more episodes to go and me thinks a lot is going to happen. Merle is a real wildcard, he could be a force or a hindrance. He has to be pissed at the governor and want some payback and Darrel really let him have it and stood up to him so he might just chill out. He's such a racist fock though, I can't help but root against him but something makes me want to see him succeed. I think he will have a huge part to play, I'm just not sure what that is yet.

The scene when the Zombies were released, who was the hooded broad?
I see a lot of folks read the books so their is a lot of disappointment with how the storyline is going....doesn't help that their have been so many firings. I am sure if I read the books which I do plan on one day would be disappointed but this show still fuken kicks ass! I can't imagine ever losing interest. Question for you guys? I re-watched the first episode and the black dude and his son who find Rick...whatever happened to those guys? I thought they would be a great fixture in the series( the dad really)...were they part of the book series or just added to the show? |

2. I haven't read the graphic novels/comics, but it seems like they were there just for the show.

Last night's episode was an improvement on the midseason premiere. The Dixon bros are kicking some ass.

After last week’s incredible record-breaking midseason premiere ratings, you had to figure AMC’s The Walking Dead was going to have lower numbers for its second episode of the year — especially since it aired during a three-day holiday weekend. And you’d be right. Sunday’s Walking Dead had 11 million viewers on Sunday, down a slight 11 percent. Among adults 18-49, the show delivered a 5.6 rating — easily beating all of broadcast that night (and likely all scripted broadcast shows last week, as well). The consensus among readers was that the premiere was a let down by Walking Dead‘s usual high standards — sort of felt clunky and rushed (Andrea’s Braveheart speech to a handful of extras representing the whole town of Woodbury and Rick’s “shut up!” shouting match with the Dixons were low points). Sunday night, however, the show felt back on track and concluded with an exciting cliffhanger. Also, here’s the L+3 DVR numbers for last week’s premiere: The episode grew 21 percent to 14.9 million viewers with three days of playback included. That’s not a huge spike on a percentage basis, but that’s probably because most fans really want to watch this show the night it airs. When you have ratings this big, who cares about DVR? |

While the episode was not anything great, at least there was SOME improvement over the past couple weeks. That said, the writing has never been worse. Everything about the Andrea storyline is just pure ****. At least next week has some potential of being interesting. That is unless we have to suffer through more of Andrea, her acting, and the whole stupid storyline.
Why the hell does the black ninja not tell the group ANYTHING? I get it she feels betrayed, but c'mon..... |

I'm not giving up on the show yet but I really don't have the urge to sit down and watch it at 9 anymore... I usually just stream it when it's convenient for me.
Sh*t is just getting so drawn out and boring, it's hardly even a about zombies anymore really |

I don't mind that as much based on the fact that even in a real zombie apocolypse it wouldn't be about the zombies. In a lawless, broken down society, humans and their unbelievably unpredictable behavior would be the real problem. Zombies are basically always going to do the same thing, humans (especially the crazy ones) won't.
