TWD just destroyed even more tv ratings records

Huge night for "The Walking Dead" which pretty much acted like the Grammys didn't even exist...8.1 million viewers, which isn't all that far off to a total viewer record in basic cable for a drama, while the show did blast the demo number out of the dead zone...

Per AMC: The "mid-season premiere of “The Walking Dead” became the strongest telecast for any drama in basic cable history against key demos including 5.4 million adults 18-49 and 4.4 million adults 25-54....The show delivered 8.1 million viewers for its 9pm premiere and delivered 10.1 million viewers for the night (9pm premiere and 11pm and 12:30 am encores). "

Another solid episode last night. Anything with Rick, Shane, and Herschel has been really entertaining. Still a couple of dumb moments, though. Glenn getting mad at Maggie for loving him..yeah that was kind of weird. I understand his point but the execution was bad. Also, why don't they try to develop the other members of the farm family? Who the hell is the girl in the bed? Why should I give a shart? Anyway, I liked the ending and I'm looking forward to next weeks Rick/Shane-centric episode.

While i may have to give last night's episode another shot, I really can't say I loved the 2nd episode. For one, dumb, dumb storylines. The stuff with Glen was RETARDED. And Dale is beginning to annoy me.

Lori needs to be killed off soon. What a stupid, manipulative, twat

Thing is Glen and Maggie is actually a pretty big storyline in the books... so they have to develop them, the traditionalists who are already freaking the hell out would probably stop watching... Its hard enough to suspend what you have already read and see something totally different happening in front of you...

I liked the episode but they should have killed that kid on the fence, rather then take him with them.

Shane and Andrea are worried about that kids people coming to look for him, i think they are just looking for conflict to put in their because that crew lost 5 guys that day (including the kid) ... there not going to be equipped to come start a war with the farm...they dont even know where herchels farm is or that anyone is there, they only knew people were in the bar... so shane and andrea are stupid for even worrying about that.

Shanes days are numbered, they have been since the show started though

Lori talking to Rick about killing to save the ones he loves - very similar to the scene in Mystic River where sean penns wife is telling him, he is a king... its almost like macbeth.

Holy s##t...that episode was AWESOME. I really like the idea of focusing on a smaller group of characters for once. Beth is finally somone I can care about. Also, it was nice to get some hardcore zombie action. It also didn't hurt to see Rick vs. Shane.

Its very interesting to see how long they are keeping shane around...

i hate that i have to forget stuff thats happened already in the comics and just treat this as a very loosely based version of that...

for anyone who hasnt read the them, saddle up for a long ride into apocalyptic america...

things like that have to happen to keep the show good and people watching to see what is going to happen. Killing off strong characters happens in every show...if anything it shows the group the one person who still valued human life enough to defend it fell victim to this new world and IMO now the group is going to be even more vicious... or it will serve as a reminder to them that they are still human and they wont kill this randall kid.

When did carl become such a bastarrrrrd? He lost darryls gun which i thought was going to come back to haunt darryl, he didnt even tell anyone there was a walker close to camp and i think the walker than killed dale is the one that carl was throwing rocks at...is that right?

what was dumb to me is they bring this guy away from the farm, then bring him back, then think of ways to kill him, then they torture him to get information about his group that has no clue where he is? should of left his ass to begin with. i hate when they take a story line and just use it to create 2 more episodes of just a waste of time. carl is a moron.
