HOLY F**K! What an awesome episode! My jaw literally dropped when I heard that final zombie groan in the barn. And I loved how the episode was very Rick-centric. Shane was making comments about Rick not being able to make the hard decision but this esisode showed that he is the first to react when it comes to impossible decisions. He was the first person to save Sophia...both times.
And yeah...FEBRUARY!? What the ass!? |

one of my other favorites, Daryl, had one of the most unfortunate scenes of the series in that stable. god, was that awful. 'i can't go look for your daughter?! fine, i'll throw this saddle! owwww, my wounds!!!!' and the beginning, oh my god; when Glenn looked at Maggie and she shook her head, he looks to Dale and he nods his head... holy ****, guys. we get it. Dale thinks he should tell the group, Maggie doesn't. did we need that scene, let alone such an OBVIOUS ONE?! bleh. and the rotten egg that Maggie put in Glenn's hat was terrible.

finally, some ****ing development. it took long enough, but in the end it was pretty worth it. after making this season such a drag, i enjoyed how the sophia saga went down.
if there's one thing this show does, its been leaving you wanting more. ive complained about this season.... yet, i still can't wait to watch it on sunday nights. after basically sutting off daryl's balls, it was nice to se some fire from a character. shane losing it, was a very welcome sight for me. someone needed to lose it. if it did anything, it looked to wake rick the **** up out of his coma. i think it made him say to himself " this is my group, and i have to take it back". after reading this thread, i've in a way learned to just let a lot of **** slide in this show. it's best to take it for what it is, and it made it a lot easier to get through the show last night. if you look for mistakes, or scenes you find corny you could complain til your facd turns blue (or in this case type til your fingers bleed). i can't wait for next season... maybe we'll finally get some action scenes that we've all longed for. the group seems like it will now toughen the **** up, and take the world for what it really is.

I just watched the episode now because I'm a Steeler fan and had to watch the game last night. Great episode. Was a great way to end the Sophie saga, and really made you see the "point of view" from both sides (that being both crazy Shane and crazy Herschel). Hate to wait until February, but I am excited. I have never read any of the comics, and I have been pretty happy with the show, especially when compared to most of the crap on TV. My suggestion to those that have read the comics is to just relax and enjoy. Don't try to compare to the comics, or anticipate what is coming. Just appreciate the show for what it is, entertaining and different. If you think it is bad, watch real housewives or some other crap and I'm sure it will get your mind back in good spirits.

i haven't looked forward to a show this much since i was a kid.
to those of you who read the comics: would you rather have read the comics look forward whats going to happen?...or would you rather have had no idea what's going to happen?

on the other hand, i'm really glad that the show has thrown some curve balls in there because it's kept me looking forward to each episode. i think having Robert Kirkman (the creator of the books) working closely on the show has kept it fresh, while keeping the 'nods' to the old fans too. that was by far the best idea they had when starting this show up.
