Decent season so far, like the 2 new boats both their captains seem decent. The one guy (young captain) wasn't on this weeks episode thou. The Cornelia Marie looks like there will be a mutiny onboard.

Josh Harris was given the chance to man up when the Cap discovered the dope. Instead, he refuses a drug test he originally said he would take as he bolts for the airport. I'm thinking Derrick never wouldve called the cops if Josh simply confessed. They jeapordized his license and probably couldve lost their boat. There is alot that goes on behind the cameras we dont see. Good season.

^ Jake Harris, not Josh. He just took a test before they left, if the captain is on him that hard from the start it seems to me that he wanted him to fail. Also he found some tin foil that was made into a pipe and that's it, no weed at all. He's just bitter he struck out.
My old man works for the coast guard on an ice breaker, they go to the Bering Sea many times a year. So hes met all these guys. Lot's of them smoke weed. Hell, most of them are hooked on painkillers. It's a hard job.

Nah, I don't think the season is over yet. They will just be fishing Opilio crabs when it airs next.

rode to work with a guy who always sparked up a spliff of hi-test when i got in his car in the morning. i was ready for a nap by breaktime.
guy would most always smoke his lunch. he almost killed me or him or someone else once when we were installing ductwork. we had a huge piece of sheetmetal ductwork we were installing. took 4 ductjakks, you could have driven a small pick up truck into it. we had pre installed thread rod dropping from 4 ft length 3" steel angles that weren't yet welded into place and the clown was goofin instead of watching the rods when he cranked his jakk up. the fukkin rod lifted off the I beam and the whole mess of hanger stuff came down and hit him in the arm. lucky it didn't spear him in the neck. the bosses all knew he was a stoner but he thrived on it and got a boatload of metal in the air. it was a mandatory drug test on this site for ANY injury, even if you had to have a splinter removed. he told the boss he wasn't gonna pass a piss test, i knew he had smoked his lunch that day. jeff told him to just go home and see a doc, tell him he was hurt at home. said his arm swelled up to twice the size and the doc gave some killer pain pills. we were up on the 10th floor with the bucket elevator not working that day and they had to walk him down the stairs. made me think bout catching a buzz on big commercial jobs. i couldn't take that deadliest catch stuff. i go off the jersey coach sometimes on party boats and after 4 hrs, i'm ready for dry land. never got sick, just wanna get back to dry land. Yea and being high at work at such a dangerous job is ****ing stupid, he's putting others at risk and the captain could lose his license and the boys could lose the boat. Phil would be rolling in his grave if that happened. I worked in construction for a few years and quit for a desk job because I got sick and tired of my life being put in the hands of ****ers that were high all the time, **** those idiots and anyone who does that. Something about hard manual labor brings out the ****ing dope headed losers. It's always someone else that gets hurt not the guy that's high as a kite. Finally caught up on all the episodes, thank you Discovery for the marathon over the weekend. The captain was pissed that he was being lied to more than anything by the little punk, that's why he called the cops. When he pulled out the weed stuff and questioned it all Jake could do is turn it around as to him not finding any crab, plus, the little **** took off to the airport immediately after they docked, the little bastard needs an ass kicking. Both those Harris kids are ****ing stupid and need to grow the hell up, they didn't want a captain they wanted a push over to drive a party boat. If you pay attention to all the other boats, everyone that was fishing for blue crab was having a rough time. The captain should have quit and told those asshole to ****ing shove it. The same problems are going to come up when they hire another captain. Am I the only one that can't stand that guy on the Northwestern, the guy that was a greenhorn a few years ago. I'd shove that whiney retard in one of those traps and let it go over. ****, he's annoying. |

That captain was a dick long before any weed was sniffed out.
And he caught less crab than any captain in the history of that show. boats have broken down for days and still caught more crab than that clown. He used the weed as an excuse to put blame elsewhere. And they did do drugs with Phil around, remember when Phil caught jake stealing his painkillers?
