This weeks episode was the second time Capone has talked about the scars on his face as his war wounds. I read a long time ago how Capone never even made it overseas for WWI, but liked to tell everyone his facial scars were from the war - loved how the writers have come back to that a few times now!

But Buscemi - man is he great in this - I hope he gets some awards attention in a few more months.
the story of how he really got them is pretty cool

I watched a few episodes of this the other weekend at a hotel. I don't get HBO, so does anybody have any place online to watch this?

Yeah, I read up on that the other day - what I found amazing was that the guy who cut up Capone's face would eventually be hired as one of Capone's bodyguards! Thought he would have been sleeping with the fishes for sure!

Loved the introduction of the mutilated WWI veteran into Jimmy's crew last night - I've read a paper on how the origins of plastic surgery can be found amongst the horrible wounds endured by WWI vets. Advances in medicine and increased knowledge meant more soldiers could survive ghastly wounds that would have killed them in previous wars, but it also meant living with terrible scars and injuries - surgeons would do their best to cover up or repair damage done, which led to advancements in plastic surgery.

Amazing stuff, actually - and yet another example of how WWI contributed to the world we know and live in today!

The guy with half a face seemed so simple and sweet, but it turns out he has a skill. Even though he killed the knife man, you came away from that episode with a good feeling. I felt happy for the guy.

YouTube - The Brian Jonestown Massacre...

BJM a underrated band but they weren't meant for the big time, unfortunately they did it to themselves. Still very great music nonetheless.

It's taken over Sons of Anarchy as my favorite show on TV.

Last night was good, but I still think that ep 7 was the best so far.

You can really feel and that its just building and building and building up to a helluva finish, but you still have no idea in whose favour the tides are going to turn for. I'm still watching and enjoying every minute of it!

Read last week that the show has been picked up by HBO for a second season - another 11 episodes - so we know it won't all end in a few more weeks.

3 episodes left in this season, btw. Season finale is Dec. 5.

I've been watching this show since the first ep and love it. Richard Harrow (Darmody's sniper war buddy) is my new favorite character of anything in recent memory. Very cool era that really hasn't been explored too much in movies or TV. Its also kinda cool because Chicago is featured a lot in the earlier shows and I recognize all of the locations. A lot of the speakeasies are still around today as regular corner pubs. Also, who isn't in love with Margaret? Maybe I'm just a sucker for the Irish accent. Really looking forward to tonights Season Finale.
