30/30 espn

If you get a chance at 9pm tonight tune in. Benjamin Wilson a Chicago high school basketball player ranked number #1. Gets murdered in the early 80's. Amazing story. Best 30/30 i have ever seen.

Today I watched an older 30/30 about Terry Fox who tried to run across all of Canada to raise money for cancer. The thing that made it so cool was Fox had one good leg and one prosthetic leg. What struck me the most was how much Fox cared about his goal and helping others, disregarding his own well being. I'm going to check out more 30/30.

30 for 30's are generally great. Always sit down and watch one if it's on and I got the time. They recently started doing 30 for 30 shorts online that are like 10mins long. The one on AHhhhhnold is good. http://espn.go.com/30for30/film?page=arnolds-blueprint

That one had me in tears almost. One of my favorite episodes and probably one of the more touching ones. The Escobar Brothers is another good one that was just as tragic. Colombia is one messed up place.

Just watched the one on Bo Jackson. Great stuff. I was a tiny tiny kid when he was at his fame pinnacle, but even I have memories of what he did. So crazy how quick and short everything he did in sports was. Kinda wish they talked to him a bit more about what he does these days but the bow hunting stuff was interesting enough.

Most of the ones I have seen are very good. My two favorites so far are the one about Marcus Dupree and the one about Vlade Divac and Drazen Petrovic

Saw the Dupree one, did not know until i watched he had some issues with Switzer. Not sure what his beef was with Dupree. Had some decent games with the Breakers in USFL also

I really enjoyed the SMU and the Dupree one.

The Ricky Williams one was really good too. Watching it, I saw some of myself in him and some similarities. It was well done.

The first one was the one about the Miami Hurricanes, great story that reminded me of why I always hated them.
