They dont really have one. They are weaker than in the past.

Denis Pederson is the best fighter and tough to play against,
Richi Regher can defend hisself too.

Would any of you fine German posters be able to translate these penalties? Could it have been a fight possibly?

49:14 Malone R., 2 min. Hoher Stock (TBL)
49:14 Malone R., 2 min. übertriebene Härte (TBL)
49:14 Malone R., 5 min. übertriebene Härte (TBL)
49:14 Malone R., 10 min. übertriebene Härte (TBL)
49:14 Regehr R., 5 min. sonstiges Vergehen (EBB)

EDIT:
Looks like it was a fight!

The Lightning went on a four-minute penalty kill 9:14 into the third period after left wing Ryan Malone beat down Richie Regehr. Malone got two minutes for instigating, two for high-sticking, five for fighting and a 10-minute misconduct.

We don't have penalties for fighting so everything that has to do with dropping the gloves and punching is roughing over here.

actually I'll translate it:
hoher stock = highsticking
übertriebene härte = roughing
sonstiges vergehen = hard to tell never saw a penalty like that I guess it's some kind of unsportmanlike conduct.

Overall you need to take into consideration that the refs in germany are often calling some real strange penalties, especially from the box scores afterwards it's hard to tell what really happened.

Ha, Podollan, seemed like Regehr isn't able to defend himself .

That game was called by nhl officals and under nhl rules. Penatlies -> see the game-thread.

So what. All they need is one and they have two that can. Limpright is a middleweight and so is Reich. Downey and McCarty both would beat them with ease.

McCarty wouldn't do jacksh!t against Jeremy Reich at this stage of his career.

We had some:

Ronny Arendt vs. Justin Papineau (Mannheim vs. Wolfsburg)
Don't know if it was a real fight, 2+2+10 for both

Patrick Hager vs. Jean-Francois Boucher (Krefeld vs. Ingolstadt)
They dropped'em in a big scrum, both 2+2+10. what i heared win hager.

Sean Blanchard vs. Torsten Ankert (Hamburg vs. Cologne)
Ankert attacks Freezers-starplayer Peter Sarno in a scrum after a knee-hit by Elia Ostwald. Blanchard comes in with a big right, then tries to fight Ankert but just some wrestling while the linesman stand back. 2+2 for both.

Another note: Some refs really allow a lot of hitting this season. There were some big hitting games like Hamburg vs. Cologne or Ingolstadt vs. Augsburg. Really rare the last years.

you saw Sarrault- Barney shoving each other at the faceoff before the puck dropped? nhl like lol- They both have a tough team-
Mannheim is thinking about bringing in Brad Isbister- Ingolstadt nearly brought in Grant Potulny , he might land somewhere else in Germany.

Mannheim is really nuts if they bring in Isbister too. They need a salary cap soon, if Mannheim continues like this. They play first-line players on their 4th line, there is too much difference at least money wise between them and some bad teams in the DEL right now.

BTW is todays game worth watching on premiere?

its only a rumor so far- they said they got an offer with isbister from his agent.

I think they dont need him. They have enough big boys on the team, need a playmaker more.

They get Colin beardsmore today by trade against Schlager and Goalie Adam Hauser so they added grit and size.

Grant potulny signed with Duisburg.
They have Grand-Pierre, Rick Berry and Potulny- not bad!

Didn't know where to put it but for the euro posters here, Eurosport is showing the CHL games not live but still. Yesterday evening they showed Karpat Oulu vs. Eisbären Berlin. Maybe I can get a schedule on what games they are going to show. But it want be easy as Eurosport never knows what they are going to show.
