I will probably catch a few of the games. I find the worst part about these games over in Europe is the officiating is usually poor to terrible. Another problem with the Spengler Cup is that it takes place the same time period as the World Juniors. The time zone difference for watching the live games doesn't help either. The World Jrs is a much more popular tournament and probably the most popular international ice hockey event in Canada with the exception be the Olympics.

This team is monstrously good compared to the competition, and the time of the games (judging by the schedule) are a lot less treacherous than the world juniors. I'll be sure to catch a bunch of these games!

Was surprised they didn't pull a win out against Fribourg, but Canada showed how good they are against HC Davos today.

I don't care what anyone says, but I think that this is really good hockey! Especially this year. And it's much better timed than the world juniors!

Canada looked great today against HC Davos. Pretty good level of hockey too lots of skill but it does lack some physicality.

Mannheims a good team, as are all the teams. Euro games are different than NHL games. Ryan Smythes first games of the year, he looked slow compared to everyone else. Good to see MicFlikier on team Canada, I've been a fan of him for years and think he's better than a lot of guys in the NHL that currently play. Surprised by the Canada-Davos score, but Dubnyk was clutch, hope they play again. Goaltending was fantastic for Mannheim, If he plays like that the rest of the tournament, they'll be in the finals for sure.

Yay!

I set the alarm to 6AM on my TV. By the time I was fully conscious and looking at the TV, it was already 3-0 Canada. I figured that warranted going back to bed another 5 hours.
