Dorantes clipped Anas with a knee-on-knee it looked like. Padulo skated down the ice turned to him and finally just dropped 'em and threw some punches.

Anybody watching the games. on The roughrider message boards a guy flew out to sioux city for the tourney and he said the refs have been breaking up a ton of potential fights, basically saying the players got to start throwing right away or they break it up. Hope this isn't true. Usually I go to three games get pissed off about how big of ******* the roughriders are and stop going. Hopefully the refs don't add to the problem. But i did hear there not allowed to take off there helmets and square off for a long while anymore.

They're allowed to take their helmets off still. Some of the refs are trying to cut down on the LNAH square off's. They're rare in the USHL anyway.

Basically what Kid said. If you take off the lid you gotta be throwing right away.

Though I disagree about the square off being so rare, but the Stars were a little more pugilistic than the Phantoms last year...

Hey, we had the fight major leader on our team. The USHL doesn't really have many long, drawn out sqaure-off's.

Too bad phantoms and stars couldn't be in the same conference...2 games with out of conference=not much going to happen! Though with Stenglein's preseason so far, perhaps, perhaps!
