Total BS. Shine and Mayhew drop them off the draw and square off for 5 seconds or less and the linesmen jump in.

Anyways, this game got real nasty about the middle of the second and through the third. Lotta scrums, gotta believe CR was just frustrated, they played so horrible.

But the McKee fight was great. McKee is in the penalty box and gets out with something like 5:45 left in the game. He skates down to the play as fast as he can, hits someone, and drops the mitts. Beat the 5 minute rule!

Anyways, the fight was McKee punching Moldenhaur to the ice, picking him up, and repeat for about 3 cycles, while the linesmen try to separate them.

Yeah i'm glad there has been more fights in the ushl then usual. But they really don't allow guys to take off the lids and square off and fight like in years pass. Has there been a fight this year where both players took off the lids and fought. Even the Mckee Hudson fight it was drop the gloves and get right to it. They seem to try and stop every fight unless a punch is thrown right away which sucks.

You're not allowed to drop the lids anymore. Hudson and Habscheid had a nice square off earlier this year.

They'll usually allow a little of a square off...but nothing like in the McKee/Hudson fight (the linesmen were probably scared to get between those two!) is allowed anymore.

Its a new rule, or maybe the enforcement of a old rule, that 1. you can not remove your helmet, or the other guys helmet on purpose and 2. If you want to fight you have to get right at it, not have time to size each other up, be in better position. The reasoning is that you will have less injuries if players don't plan and prepare for a fight too long, or something like that.

I somewhat like it, as it seems there is more fights during play instead of waiting for the next faceoff to square off.

Its definitely up to who is the linesman as far as if you will allow a square off. With the Lincoln/Cedar Rapids game, they jumped into that square off between Shine and the other guy in less time than I have seen for any other square-offs where they were allowed to fight this year.

It definitely hasn't hurt fighting! Skip Prince has said the USHL has no issue with fighting.

Nope! I think they know the square off may not be allowed, so they drop them in the scrums more often now. At least that is what I have been seeing.

Also, with the way McKee has been playing, its almost like he is just out there to try and find the biggest guy eventually. I'm calling it now: McKee breaks 20FMs
