The
Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League acquired forward Tanner Pond and a fourth round draft pick from the
Sioux City Musketeers in exchange for forward Trevor Olson.
Pond has collected 16 points (9 goals, 7 assists) in 30 games, already achieving USHL season highs in goals, assists, and points for the third-year forward. The 19-year-old was fifth in team scoring while leading the Musketeers with 114 penalty minutes. He has scored four of his goals over the last seven games. Prior to playing with the Musketeers, Pond spent his first two USHL seasons with the
Cedar Rapids RoughRiders. Over 110 career regular season games in the League, the Michigan native has produced 35 points (17g, 18a) and 246 penalty minutes. Pond has also added one goal in eight USHL playoff contests.
The Gamblers are on the road this weekend in Indiana with a pair of games against the Ice. The Gamblers are currently 18-11-3 in the Eastern Conference.
