So, does this not bode well for the movie coming out next week?

I read a month ago that the studio put a last second cash injection of $7 mil into the budget to help clean up the CGI. Whether thats a bad sign or not, I dunno, but at least they recognized some issues before it hits theatres.

Thank god you add the last sentence. You are talking about American Psycho 2, which is horrendous.

American Psycho (with Bale) is an awesome psychological thriller.

Just go With it - more predictable tripe from Sandler, but had some funny moments, those kids were funny, and that blonde has a nice pair of juggies. Slow-mo shots of her in the bikini were the highlites and saved the movie from being just plain bad.

Sometimes in April- an HBO film about the genocides in Rwanda, the story was alright and had plenty of graphicness.

King of the Avenue starring Ving Rhames was terrible, I like him but his choice of movies to work on in recent years is really bad.

This should have been in the "Last bad movie you saw' thread.

Super 8- Had some higher expectations considering JJ Abrahams and Steven Spielberg were involved. Just never caught fire despite the kids being a trip for the most part. Very Mediocre, actually dozed off a little.

If you don't want to see a "meh" movie stay away from the theater these days.

Was there no thread for Super 8?

Definatey meh.

It started off well, and then at some point it turned into a love story for 12 year olds with a really gay ending.

Typical Spielberg movie then? His films always start off great, you think you're seeing a perfect movie, then near the end it takes a twist that always feel so wrong. Minority Report, War of the Worlds, Munich, even Saving Private Ryan a little - near perfect movies that take a wrong or unfortunate turn somewhere that kind of rubs you the wrong way.

I just realized he didn't direct Super 8, just produced it, but its feels like its still got his fingerprints all over it - so I think I know what to expect whenever I get around to seeing it.

Speilberg has a WWI movie coming out by Xmas, called War Horse. About a kid whose horse is taken away from him and sent to war, and the kid runs away to find him. Unbreakable bond between a kid and his horse, an ugly war in which machine guns will mow down charging cavalry - you kind of know where this one will be going and which heartstrings he'll be pulling on. Still looking forward to it, but know what to expect from a typical Speilberg movie...

The Re-Boot of a Nightmare On Elm Street. I would have thought it was nice, if I never saw the 1984 original that is.

Last night; Horrible Bosses. That actor that played the one who jennifer aniston was hitting on, almost ruined the movie for me. He was so annoying.
