Saw 3 good ones last weekend. Terminator 2. My favorite out of all the terminators. Planes, Trains and Automobiles w John Candy and Steve Martin. Very funny movie. And also saw The Rookie. Clint Eastwood and Charlie Sheen. I love younger Charlie Sheen and Clint Eastwood's humor and acting and directing went a far way in this movie. Cool action scenes and one liners

That is a classic, but hard to compare with all the new features n special effects. plus there's no smoking hot Tanit Phoenix in 2000.

Two great ones this weekend...

1. HEAT, and all time favorite I caught on Encore. One of the greatest casts of all time, and superbly acted throughout. Special effects were absolutely amazing as well.

2. Bullet to the Head. I had to sit through Mama with the lady, and she had to sit through this one. Great kills, fast paced, some solid one liners, and provided everything you'd like from an action movie.

The Departed: One of Marty's best; a flick which erased Leo's soft image. Great cast and excellent story

Lawless was fantastic. Tom Hardy, Jason Clarke, and Shia LaBeouf all did an amazing job portraying the Bondurant brothers. Clarke's character was my favorite in the movie. Guy Pearce played a hell of a bad guy.

Generation Kill. Although technically a miniseries, we don't have a "Last Good Miniseries You Saw" thread so in here it goes. Awesome portrayal of the Marines 1st Recon Battallion during the initial invasion of Iraq in 2003. Although also produced by HBO, it's completely different than their previous miniseries such as Band of Brothers and Pacific. The series does a nice job demonstrating that there's not much glory anymore for military personnel in today's wars.

Also saw Ted again last night. It was just as funny as the first time I saw it. Marky Mark and Mila Kunis accompanied by Seth MacFarlane's humor? Yes please!

EDIT: Forgot I also caught Bad Teacher over the weekend (blizzard left me with a lot of spare time). It's your basic comedy but I enjoyed it. Lots of humorous scenes. I liked Jason Segel's character. Cameron Diaz's fat roommate was also brilliant in his limited role.

I haven't seen much movies recently, but I watched First Blood. It is the first Rambo film I ever watched as a teenager.

I saw an old classic for the first time Child's Play- I was impressed by Chucky. The fight scenes with the doll were entertaining. I like how Andy took care of business at the end. I now want to see the spin off movies...which are most likely a step down from this one.

Watched it again this week. I love how the soundtrack is just classical music (Benjamin Britton) and Hank.

Love when Bill Murray goes outside with an axe and a bottle of wine!

Isn't Shawn Thornton in that movie too?

For if you that don't mind watching movies with subtitles, I have a few really good ones to check out.

One is called "Irrevesible". It stars Monica Belucci and Vincent Cassel. It's about a woman who is brutally raped (and I mean brutal. It's one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen on film) and her ex boyfriend and current boyfriend searching the French underground for revenge. It's very different as its shown almost backwards in timeline, but it's still a great film. Not for the squeamish.

The second is also a French film horror called "Sheitan" (Arabic for Devil). It also stars Vincent Cassel.

Both movies are available on Netflix to stream now if anyone's interested.

Irrevesible is insane. That whirrring music and that fire extinguisher scene is awesome. And isn't that rape scene like 15-30 minutes long? (not what you'd think too, if you haven't seen it)

Ya, something like that. The director used what's called "low frequency sound" for the music that actually makes the audience disoriented to feel the unease of the characters.

I can't tell people how much I love that movie. Just awesome. Pretty much everyone I've referred it to hasn't been able to watch the entire thing lol.

I'm a big fan of what's called the New French Extremities.

If you liked Irreversible, try "Baise-Moi".
