Went to see Argo last night. I was afraid it was going to bore me, but wow... this movie totally blew me away. This is THE best movie of the year so far. I couldn't find a single flaw in the whole thing. Even had a surprising amount of comedy, mostly from John Goodman and Alan Arkin as the Hollywood guys.

3:10 to Yuma, but did Christian Bale really need to die? That didn't spoil the movie for me but I thought it would have been just as believable if he AND Russell Crowe lived. Sucked that he got shot! Why would he turn his back in the middle of a gun fight??
One scene you're really loathing Ben Wade, then the next scene you start kind of liking him, then you're brought back down to Earth again that this guy is a murderous outlaw, then you like him again. Either way, very entertaining movie and a great take on a dead genre.

Also saw Gran Torino for the first time. WOW is all I can say. Between that and 3:10 to Yuma, I have to stop waiting so damn long to see movies that I know are good.
