Cowboys and Aliens - I was hooked after the first few minutes. Awesome movie. Anytime you have James Bond and Indiana Jones/Han Solo in the same movie it has to be good.

The Departed

One of my favorite movies, and one that gets better the more I watch it. Every time I see it I pick up some more minor details to the plot.

It really is. I usually turn it off once they're in the water because that part is horse ****, but up until then it's a great story. I especially like the social class divide aspect.

In other words you turn it off because you cry every time at that scene.

It really is the total package as far as storytelling goes. It's not JUST a love story.

Red Cliff II

Chinese flick about the 3 Kingdoms era. Cao Cao doing convinces Emperor Han to attack the kingdoms of Xu and Wu, only to find out they've become allies.

If you don't mind subtitles or redubs, it's a great movie about a great time in history, and has some amazing battle scenes.

"The Beach" with Leonardo DiCaprio. It's about looking for a perfect foreign beach via a map from a dead dude (make sense eh?) There's obviously issues when the beach is found including some locals who want to protect their weed plants, so even stoners can appreciate this movie.
