You are not kidding. My brother downloaded this on netflix over the weekend. I watched for the first 40 minutes, and couldn't do it anymore.

You can tell about a quarter of the way in, the director just stopped caring and went for the "so bad, it's good" approach.

Also didn't care for Lawless, which was the second movie he downloaded. Thought it was poorly acted, and the special effects weren't well done at all.

I agree Lawless was bad, they had great actors in it but it dissapointed. Tom Hardy's character shoulda been dead twice in that movie

The acting seemed wooden to me. Too rigid. I get the serious tone, but at least give the acting some personal feel and some fluidity.

And yes, Forrest should have died at least twice. But, that's the least of the movies concerns.

Prometheus

Holy crap what a sh*t stain of a movie. Tries so hard to be thought provoking and just fails completely.

The humans act like retards throughout. Super stereotypical while still managing to be unrealistic and dumb. The hippy scientist who says 'no guns'...yeah, we are exploring an alien world that we KNOW is probably inhabited with other life forms, lets just not bring weapons because the hippy chick says so...The crew freaks out when there is no reason to, and are completely calm and serene when they should be freaking out. I'm glad they all died. The only person I actually could semi relate to was the f*cking captain, who was a minor character at best. You would think they would have at least TRIED to pool their knowledge considering they had plenty of chances and just didn't even bother.

The pacing of the movie sucked, too many things happening at once and most of them stupid and unbelievable (in a bad way).

Ending was horrible. Dumb redhead who thinks the 'engineer' race wouldn't just shoot her ship down as it comes close to their home planet. Then the infected engineer spawns an old school Alien. Wow what an awesome twist! Not.

I just watched Hendrix (2000).

I didn't even make it to the end, it was so bad. The only reason I watched as long as I did was because of Wood Harris' excellent performance as Jimi. He did a great job capturing many of the emotions and intricacies of Jimi. Unfortunately, the script and the action didn't do the same.

About five awkward minutes is devoted to Jimi's complex and troubled childhood. Then the rest is basically a collection of re-enactments of Jimi's most memorable performances with very little off-stage development in between, save for a couple of awkward exchanges with very little setup. One such example is the Experience bass player challenging Jimi that he treats them like roadies, when there is nothing in the film prior to the scene that suggests such behavior.

There is no character development, which is the lifeblood of a great biopic. It's especially crucial in a film about an emotionally complex and creative genius like Jimi Hendrix. The film failed on that front.

I just read a review that the movie doesn't even show his death. It tidies it up in some neat text before the credits.

Oliver Stone's The Doors, while not entirely accurate, was a MUCH better biopic of the same era and similar character.

Open Water(2003) I have no idea how this movie got three stars. It sucked. A married couple gets stranded in the ocean and are surrounded by sharks. That's the whole movie right there. A litte chatting, screaming because something rubs against them. The ending is brutal. I was waiting for a rescue or see a gory death but neither happen. Boring! It's based on a true story ( see below).

Taken 2

I knew it wasn't going to be as good as the first, but this movie was laughably horrible. Yuck.

You guys actually think Lawless was bad????

I just watched Premium Rush. Now that's bad. ****ing ridiculous CGI overkill. Not to mention a complete waste of the acting talent

Yes, Lawless was bad.

I'll add another to this list:
John Carter

Some god awful attempt by Disney about some warrior and Mars, and it's just terrible. The plot, acting, and action were just a joke.
