The Hobbit

I felt like they really overused cgi in this movie compared to the LotR movies. Part fo what was great with the LotR movies, for me anyhow, was how realistic some of the orcs looked. In The Hobbit you can clearly tell they're cgi and it just really lessened the experience. I also didn't like some of the changes they made with the backstory and history. I also had problems with the dwarves, with (as already mentioned) how dumb some of them looked I also didn't like how some of the dwarves looked so un-dwarfy. Like with the really short lame beards and whatnot.

A lot of the time I had to remind myself that this is essentials a children's story, so not to take things too seriously. Tolkien wrote The Hobbit for his kids, so I could understand it being a bit lighter than the LotR movies

I watched this yesterday and thought it was decent. I read the book back when i was 12. I might of read it again when i was 15 or 16. Needless to say I thought the movie followed what i could remember from the book well. Bilbo is a way less annoying character then Frodo.
