Girl With the Dragon Tattoo:

Anyone seen it yet?

Suppose to be the best movie of this winter season. Will probably check it out on monday, once the holiday traffic dies down.

The movie is a bit long, at around 2:40 minutes. But if you've seen the foreign version, should be excellent. That and brutal -- especially considering if David Fincher making it (Fight Club, Seven, Social Network, ect)

I've seen the original movie from 2009 on a flight to Stockholm, which was I thought was exceptional. Interesting to know the title actually being, Män som hatar kvinnor which means Men Who Hate Women. It'll be interesting to how the "Newer, Remake" compares.

I had mixed feelings about the movie. I read the books, but I haven't seen the previous version of the movies. Definitely felt the book was better than the movie in this case, and felt like I would have been confused a lot if I didn't already know the story. But I enjoyed it.

Definitely some brutal scenes in this movie though. Rooney Mara was also really good in her role.

Was the anal rape scene really that bad?

When she gets revenge it is much more brutal.

Just more intense than what you normally see out of most mainstream movies, but it fits with the way the story actually goes.

Really can't say i was all that impressed with this movie. For one thing, considering this film's title of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo", they probably showed McDonalds happy meals more frequently and with more emphasis. But i guess thats what you get when you have a film like this being remade in America. They ****ed it all up....though the ending was great

Side note -- at least she had bigger tits and shaved pits :-/

I saw the original movie last year and thought it was okay. It was a bit too far fetched in my opinion. But some of the scenes were pretty cool.

Just saw this last night. Thought it was really good. The rape and revenge scenes were pretty brutal but I've seen plenty of **** like that before so it didn't bother me. I actually thought it was kind of funny how, right before he raped her, he started eating her ass. Fukked up guy but he got what was coming to him and then some. Plot was great and not that hard to follow as long as you payed close attention. Fincher always does a great job directing.
