well I mean Sin City was a comic book that when it was re-printed, was put into the form of a graphic novel.

I was big fan of the first Hulk (Disclaimer: Hulk homer), but I think Superman II is the best one ever made. I might go:

1 Superman II
2 The Hulk
3 Spider-Man
4 Iron Man
5 The X-Men

My top 5:

1) Batman Begins
2) Spiderman 2
3) X-Men 2
4) Iron Man
5) V for Vendetta

I fully expect The Dark Knight to supplant the current number 1 spot.

My bottom 5 (that I've seen):

1) Batman and Robin
2) Batman Returns
3) Ghost Rider
4) Superman IV - Quest for Peace
5) The Punisher

If I had bothered to see Catwoman or Elektra, I'm sure they'd be up here too....

I think Batman Begin was the best "Superhero Movie" overall. I also loved Iron Man & The New Incredible Hulk. But I gotta admit that I was most hyped about the original Spiderman (I'm a little spoiled here because several scenes were filmed in my neighborhood. So I got a behind the scenes view and finished product look.)

I thought so too, the first time I saw it. Then I rented it again just a few months ago and I couldn't believe how dumb it was on the second viewing. Thomas Jane was decent as Frank Castle, but the rest of the cast, mostly Travolta, really aggravated me. I just didn't like it.

But, I know their making a second Punisher movie - this time starring the big dude who played Titus Paulo in HBO's Rome series. I won't get my hopes to high, by hopefully it will be a little better than the first one.

Super BUMP.

Having just seen the Avengers last night, I started thinking about this again. Since it's been several years and a lot more movies have come out, I thought it might be worth discussing again.

My list:
1. The Dark Knight
2. Batman Begins
3. Iron Man
4. X-men: First Class
5. Spider Man 2 (this was a tough one to pick, it's been a LONG time since I've seen a lot of these movies, and this was the one that was most prominent in mind)

After thinking about it again (4 years after I originally posted), I still just don't view Sin City and V for Vendetta as fitting the genre to make my list, although they'd both definitely be up there with the 2 most recent Batman films.

So...thoughts?

1. Dark Knight
2. Batman Begins
3. Iron Man
4. Spider Man 2
5. X-Men 2

I like all of them pretty much cause I'm a huge super hero guy but these are the best ones that i've seen so far. Cant fuking wait to see the avengers.

HM to the Blade movies (or some of them) I thought Snipes kicked ass as blade.

I have never read the comics or graphic novels of any of these but a rough draft top 5;

1. A History of Violence

2-5 no order;

X-Men: First Class
Road to Perdition
Watchmen
Batman Begins

HM's: Blade, Sin City, Dark Knight, Cowboys and Aliens

Aren't really good but I enjoy for some reason: TMNT, Spawn, Tank Girl, Surrogates
