Logano to Penske, Kenseth to JGR

Quote:
Joey Logano has reached a deal to drive for Penske Racing in 2013, a source close to the situation confirmed to ESPN.com on Monday.

An announcement that Logano will drive the No. 22 Ford or a third car for Penske could come as early as Tuesday.

Logano is being replaced in the No. 20 Toyota by Matt Kenseth, sources have said. The 2003 Sprint Cup champion is parting ways with Roush Fenway Racing at season's end.

Joe Gibbs Racing is expected to announce the Kenseth deal at a news conference Tuesday at 1 p.m. ET.

Well, looks like Brad Keselowski will have a new fan next season.

Logano needs to be in Nationwide, he's not cup material. And Kenseth ****ting on Roush is pretty lame, at least he went to another top team.

Have no problem with Kenseth leaving Roush because RFR couldnt promise Kenseth he would have a sponser all year long as we see now with even Tony Stewart losing sponsorship. Matt had to do what was best for him. Plus Roush has two future stars in Bayne and Stenhouse.

Logano going to Penske is a perfect move and Joey showed he would dominate the Nationwide series this season. Perfect fit for that team, and will have one or possibly two teammates that can provide the help he needs most. Road courses and mile and a half tracks.

Felt the bigger suprise of the day is the news of Sadler possibly moving over to JGR and running a part time Cup schedule and a full time NNS schedule and taking One Main Financial with him.

Didn't hear that one, good for Sadler. That guys career has been flip flopping for the last few years. He proved he could be a contender when he was with Yates and now he can barely get a ride.

Nothing confirmed just a rumor but JGR has been really active trying to get a 4th team and Logano was offered the same deal but turned it down. Makes sense for Sadler, although I will be honest I don't think he is a Cup Driver in all honesty. Simply because you saw the rust he showed in turning Johnson around on Lap 1 of the Daytona 500.

He has done really well in Nationwide Series and I'm happy he will proably get a second chance at a Cup Ride.

Logano turned it down? When is he going to come to the realization he can't hang in cup full time? He's going to look like an idiot next to Keslowski at Penske.

Joey is a better driver then a lot of people give him credit for, but he should do a lot better not being the 3rd wheel at Penske. That team seems a lot closer and tight knit than JGR. That's just my perspective on it. Logano actually was out performing Hamlin and Busch for a stretch during the season so he has that going for him too.

JGR just really ruined him when they brought him up at such a young age, but he is starting to get it now.

He sucks. He should be buried in the minors like Reed Sorenson.

I think Logano just needs some time. I've never really been a fan of Logano, but I agree that Gibbs brought him up way too fast. He could have used a few full seasons in Nationwide to really get a feel for the racing and I think he gets a bad rap, which was not his fault. The kid is still young and the next few years at Penske will really shed some light on his potential. I think he'll turn out to be a good driver, but he just needs a bit more seasoning.
