UFC signs Ronda Rousey

Despite some recent posturing and smokescreens to the contrary, Strikeforce champion Ronda Rousey, as reported and confirmed by MMAWeekly.com, has become the first woman signed to fight in the UFC.

UFC president Dana White had been mum on the signing, but finally confirmed it when he stopped by Friday’s edition of the The Jim Rome Show to promote Saturday’s UFC 154: St-Pierre vs. Condit event in Montreal.

“It's official,” declared White. “Ronda Rousey did sign with the UFC.”

Maybe because of her that will change. After I read a Sports Illustrated artcicle about her dominance I watched some of her fights, have you? She's been snapping arms left and right, UFC will give her real competition and to see if she's worth the hype.

i can kinda understand that. but i also kinda dig watching rousey. her throws are pretty impressive, and i think its incredible all of her opponents know that she wants to win by armbar but they cant stop her.

shaud did you read her comments on sex? they didnt come off as whorish at all. and what women doesnt like sex? it wasnt exactly a groundbreaking announcement.
