In my heart I know he won't win, but I'm really hoping to see Diaz give GSP a beating.

Diaz is my favorite fighter, but I think he's a bit outclassed by GSPs ground skills and quickness.

Some bad blood between the two, should be a good one.

GSP is a douche.

I agree, I want to see Diaz win but im sure GSP will look for the take down and sit on him for 5 rounds and win.

I have always disliked the diaz brothers. I cannot wait for gsp to fight nick. Hopefully gsp knocks him out. Would kill two birds gsp finally finishes a fight and diaz gets to eat humble pie

Looks like a good overall card. I am watchin it for sure. However my old link oleoletv is broken and gives out viruses now.

He never finishes a fight. He is boring. His fights are boring and I refuse to ever watch a PPV with him on the card. So I consider him a douche.

His good guy act comes off as fake and is annoying. Most fighters would move up a class after they stay on top a class 8 years. Doest finish fights and lets the paid off judges give him the win. Finally he is from Quebec, that right there is an automatic douche reputation. Him whining about getting in the face by Shields was pathetic. Your an mma fighter, you are going to get hit in the face...

Was it getting hit or poked in the eye... Don't think he whined about the Condit head kick.

ive always like gsp. he's probably got the best takedowns in mma, and what amazes me is he didnt even wrestle growing up, he was into like karate or some ****.

What fight has he had that was close enough that the judges decision could be doubted?

flex_buff_chest 01-29-2013 05:05 PM

I personally enjoy how respectful he is. I don't need to watch some thug or some thug wanna be puffing out his chest.

Not going to deny that GSP has had some boring fights. However I thoroughly enjoyed his fight with Condit. He faced some adversity and came back for a big win. He went after Condit all night and didn't mind paying a price to do so.

There seems to be this wave of MMA fans who want to see nothing but guys standing in the center of the cage throwing bombs. If this is what you are in to, why don't you simply watch boxing?

And in best case, those bombfests also involve Muay Thai, kick boxing, and grappling. You don't get that in boxing. Hell, you just get guys clinching, hugging, and sucking air. Its like complaining of constant needless penalties when all you want to see is end to end action in a hockey game.

With Nick Diaz you're getting the complete package. One of my favorite MMA fights of all-time is his grappling, BJJ war with Diego Sanchez. Tons of transititons and ground game show of skills.

What I don't want to see is tons of take-downs, and lay & pray. Usually you get that from Wrestlers. Or guys who want to run all over the cage while throwing leg kicks.....cough, condit, cough, cough

agreed that was a great fight. somehow i think there might be a little bit of bj penn vs jens pulver type vibe in this fight when it happens between gsp and diaz, i believe it will be a good fight no matter what style gsp decides to bring.
