Velazquez is set to headline UFC 110 against Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira which will be an incredible fight. Bader is going to take on Jardine, Silva is set to fight Bisping and Stevenson is taking on George Sotiropoulos. Cro Cop is set to take on Rothwell on this card as well. 110 will be an excellent card if it stays the way it is.

33-year-old welterweight Phil Baroni is in Hawaii and planning to take time off from competition to rest and evaluate a new approach to MMA.

Despite several reports, Baroni said he has not agreed to fight Marcus Davis at UFC 111 on March 27 in Newark, N.J.

"I can’t keep doing the same thing over and over again and expect different results," Baroni said.

Frank Shamrock Returning to Strikeforce

Mixed Martial Arts pioneer Frank Shamrock recently conducted an interview with TheMMAHour.com where he stated that Strikeforce have asked him to fight on a yet to be announced card set for the first week of March.

Frank Shamrock has been competing in Mixed Martial Arts for fifteen years and has held titles in the UFC, Pancrase, WEC & Strikeforce with victories over the likes of Tito Ortiz, Jeremy Horn and Bas Rutten however is nearing the end of his career after back-to-back losses to Cung Le and Nick Diaz.

At this point in his career Shamrock is seeking the most interesting match-ups at Strikeforce with the most likely bouts being against Cung Le, Scott Smith, Robbie Lawler or Dan Henderson. Not on his radar of potential fighters is current Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Jake Shields who Shamrock claims is a "boring fighter, with no personality"

If what Shamrock says is correct and Strikeforce is going to host another Event in the first week of March then Strikeforce will yet again be going head-to-head with World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC). This past Saturday WEC and Strikeforce collided on free TV with both putting on a great show but in this instance Strikeforce pulled the better rating.

However the March WEC Event is scheduled to have newly crowned WEC Bantamweight Champion Brian Bowles defending against Dominick Cruz, as well as the return of Miguel Torres and Jens Pulver which may be enough to sway the audience away from Strikeforce.

Whatever way you look at it March is already shaping up to be a stacked month before we even enter the new year with UFC 111, WEC 47, The Ultimate Fighter Season Eleven debuts and the rumoured UFC card on Versus.

After defeating Thiago Silva on Saturday night at UFC 108, it appears former UFC light heavyweight champion "Suga" Rashad Evans has once again set up a proposed bout with Quinton "Rampage" Jackson.

According to UFC president Dana White, the two rival coaches on Season 10 of The Ultimate Fighter will likely step into the octagon at UFC 113 in Montreal.

The pair were originally supposed to face each other in the main event of UFC 107 in Jackson's hometown of Memphis, but Jackson pulled out of the fight to pursue his acting career.

The move created a fallout with White, but the two have since cleared the air, allowing Jackson to return to the UFC. Jackson is 5-1 since joining the fight league in 2007, including briefly capturing the light heavyweight title.

Strikeforce is currently in talks with both Roger Huerta and Josh Barnett.

Belfort is currently training with Machida.

According to Lesnar's trainer, he will fight again.

Anthony Johnson will be fighting John Howard in March, likely on the Versus card.

i cant say i am a fan of any of that...


dos santos deserves someone a bit higher up then gabriel.. i really think he should be in title contention i dont think he could beat a lesnar or a carwin but he should be mention IMO..

edgar has no chance... a couple good fights and a couple big names but not Title shot ready... Bj needs to fight at WW next.. id love to see Bj penn vs Jon Fitch.. no one in the lightweight division is title shot ready

Who else should Dos Santos be fighitng? Carwin and Mir are fighting and Cain and Big Nog are fighting. Not saying edgar has a chance but who else should be fighting Penn? And not fitch he cant make that weight. I don't get what your saying about cote. And as far as Florian Gomi i think it could be a great fight, If its a interested gomi clay gudia doesn't last a round, Guida is not a good as people make him out to be. not to mention Florian worked him pretty bad and guida has already signed to fight sean sherk.
