Mississippi RiverKings head coach and director of hockey operations
Derek Landmesser announced today goaltender David Wilson has signed for the 2012-13 season. Terms were not released.
"We're very excited to have 'Willy' on board," Landmesser said. "David was a big part of last season and we're expecting even more from him this year."
Wilson echoed Landmesser's excitement about his return to the RiverKings organization.
"I'm happy to be back with the RiverKings," Wilson said. "The success we had at the end of the regular season and during the playoffs last season gives us something to build on heading into camp."
The RiverKings acquired the Caledon East, Ont. native from the
Augusta Riverhawks on November 21, 2011. The 6-1 netminder played in 21 games with the RiverKings last season and compiled a 10-9-2 record with a 2.99 goals against average and a .897 save percentage.
