Got a call yesterday about this topic. I was informed that several have shown a bit of interest in this position. A few names were very familiar and one would really shake up the league. I was told a well known player was inquiring about the job and he was not an ant.
The management will not pull the plug on Stewart it will be by the decisions of the owners if and when a change will be made. It seems the fact of the matter is Stewart will be here for the season. I can only hope the fans stay too. It is way early in this season to say it is over for the team. The real issue will and always will be fan support. I for one can not or will not drive the distance to see a team get pushed around both on the ice and on the scoreboard. Not while the fish are running. I will hope to visit in 3 or 4 weeks. It is after all trout season.

I'd say it might have something to do with the fact the FireAntz were a minute and 11 seconds away from winning the championship last year. I know they are bad right now, but 5 games into the season is a bit early for management to be pulling the plug on the head coach who had his team 1:11 away from winning it all just 7 games ago. I know it can't be easy for fans to watch their team lose two games by 3 and two games by 5, especially while the coach stands behind the bench with his arms folded and appears to say nothing, but that's Stewart, win or lose that's how he coaches. I'd say it would take another 10 games this ugly before management and ownership would start to panic. Ok, maybe 5 games this ugly (cause at that point they are 2 and 8 and are getting out scored 52 to 22) they panic, 10 games this ugly and you are 3 and 12, at that point the ownership/managment have to do something to keep the fans coming to games.

Maybe the team learns to play together and it is not the coaching. The team learns to work together and they start winning and makes the coach look like he has done his job? Just a thought. Cold explain why the team always comes on at the end and not the beginning. Think about it. Knowing hockey and playing it is differnet than understanding hockey and coaching it.

Yea, he was actually on the bench for the last period against Pensacola Friday night after the acting coach threw a fit and littered the ice:
http://www.weartv.com/newsroom/top_s...vid_4974.shtml OH yea, in the video of the line of people at the beginning you'll notice a guy in a white jersey with a tan colored ballcap on, his back is to you and he kinda turns toward the camara. That's flatulantdeath. ha ha ha

Too bad I wasn't there. That never happened when the IcePilots were playing here.
Yeah I seen coaches get ejected from the game, but never seen one get angry and throwing stuff onto the ice.
