The
Louisiana IceGators ink 26 year old, left winger, Brett Liscomb. A native of Long Sault, Ontario, Liscomb played 4 years of junior hockey in the OHL (Ontario Hockey League) between the
Windsor Spitfires and the Ottawa 67’s. Brett would then play for St. Francis Xavier University for 2 years before beginning his professional career in the CHL (Central Hockey League). While in CHL he would play for the
Tulsa Oilers and
Huntsville Havoc before joining the
Pensacola Ice Flyers, in the SPHL, for a season.
For the 2011-2012 season Brett played with the
New Jersey Outlaws of the FHL (Federal Hockey League) where he would win the Commissioner’s Cup. In 45 games with the Outlaws Brett scored 16 goals and 27 assists for 43 points on the season. Liscomb is looking forward to joining the IceGators this fall in hopes of bringing a championship to Louisiana. “Under Killer's leadership, I'm extremely optimistic about our chances this upcoming season,” stated Liscomb. “I'm excited to play in front of some of the best fans in hockey on a nightly basis.”
When speaking with Brett, Coach Kaminski was really inspired with his passion and hunger to win. “Brett brings a winning attitude along with great work ethic and offensive skills & instincts,” said Coach Kaminski. “He has a knack to score and is a super playmaker. He makes everyone around him better and accountable.” Kaminski added, “He will also bring great leadership on and off the ice. This is a solid and big signing for the IceGators family.”
