Pensacola, Fla. - The
Pensacola Ice Flyers would like to announce the re-signing of forward Andrew Harrison for the 2012-13 season.
The Ontario native will be joining the
Pensacola Ice Flyers for another season on the ice. Harrison played his junior hockey in the North American Hockey League (NAHL), spending two years with the
Texas Tornado and two years with the Fargo-Moorhead Jets. After the NAHL, Harrison played three years of Division III hockey for the University of Wisconsin - River Falls in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Associations (NCHA).
"I'm excited to be returning to Pensacola this season. The Ice Flyers are a first-class organization and I am looking forward to helping my team reach the goal of winning the President's Cup," Harrison declared. "I can't wait to get back on the ice in front of the best fans in the SPHL."
Harrison, a right-handed forward, had an impressive 2011-12 season in the Southern Professional Hockey League. He played 54 games, scoring 20 goals and recording nine assists during his rookie season with the Ice Flyers.
"Andrew is a big power forward that will provide a physical element to our game," head coach Gary Graham stated. "He is capable of putting pucks in the net and creating room for his fellow linemates. Andrew had a successful rookie year, and we look forward to seeing him develop his game even more during his second professional hockey season."
