Cottonmouths Announce Co-Captains for 2012-13

COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Columbus Cottonmouths of the Southern Professional Hockey League announce their opening night lineup. Per SPHL guidelines, the Cottonmouths' roster currently stands at 18 players, with ten forwards, six defensemen, and two goaltenders.

The Snakes also have announced their captains and alternate captains for the season in the wake of the retirement of Will Barlow, the Cottonmouths' captain the past two seasons. In a vote by the players, a tie was reached between Sam Bowles and Orrin Hergott. Bowles will be the Snakes' captain when the team wears its dark jerseys (road jerseys for first half of the season, home jerseys for the second half) with Hergott and veteran forward Brett Hammond serving as alternate captains. Hergott will assume the captaincy with Bowles and Hammond alternate captains when the Snakes wear their white jerseys.
