The 2012 SPHL-champion
Columbus Cottonmouths are proud to announce the re-signing of Levi Lind and Andrew Krelove. Lind and Krelove will be joining the team when camp opens in October with aspirations of helping the Cottonmouths become only the second team in league history to repeat as league champions.
Forward Levi Lind rejoins the Cottonmouths for a 5th season after splitting time last year between Columbus and the
Rapid City Rush of the Central Hockey League. Overcoming a sophomore slump the Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native posted 20 points in 27 games last season thanks to a more physical approach to the game.
“Levi is a big, strong, power forward whose re-emergence last season provided the scoring depth needed for a successful playoff run.,” said assistant head coach Brad Prefontaine. “We are looking forward to his strong play being a staple in our offense this season.”
Andrew Krelove returns to man the blue line for a 2nd season after a successful rookie campaign saw him post 24 points in 54 games played. Krelove’s 6 points in the SPHL playoffs led all defensemen as the Cottonmouths went on to win the SPHL championship two games to none over the
Pensacola Ice Flyers.
“Krelove is among the best skating defensemen in the league,” Prefontaine said. “Paired with his great decision making abilities, he is able to put our team in the best position possible when on the ice.”
