Cunningham falls somewhere outside my top 20 - along with guys like Dave Kreig, Rich Gannon, Neil Lomax, etc. And yes, I do believe you are correct - as far as I know he continues to hold the record for most career rushing yards for a quarterback. |

Good to see the Vikes start right where they left off last year.
Without Rice, that receiving corp is a joke. Easily 5 drops, and a few of them for 1st downs. The defense couldn't get pressure on Brees, and the running game was never there. Too many missed opportunities last night... bottom line.

Yeah, isn't it amazing... a prime example that certain guys are only 3rd wide outs, while others are bonafide numbero unos... regardless of your hopes and what you pay them.
What did he have, 3 or 4 drops? Completely justifiable in making more money than 90% of the other wide outs in the league...

What changed? That's the golden question. The answer is we no longer have Rice, Harvin is a ghost, and Berrian is just being himself. He has been invisible for the last 2 years. He doesn't make a play for the ball and he is over rated and over paid. And our coach makes it a habit every Sunday to see how out-coached he can get. He does not belong running an NFL team. The Vikings have a few bright spots, and Brett Favre is still one of the brightest. Jared Allen, Longwell, Peterson, Shianco, Greenway...these guys are still our stars. Childress, Berrian, and now Rice are looking like people with no heart and no determination. Berrian never had it. |

Brutal game... worse than game one, IMO. Worse in that we had the chances, good chances, and when it really came down to it - mistakes on multiple ends from the two most critical people killed it, on multiple occasions.
First and foremost, Brett Favre is color blind. Or he's retarded, I haven't figured it out. But, I'm glad he's struggling. It hopefully shows that even with Favre, this team isn't build correctly. Call it injuries, I don't care. Every team has injuries, but most teams are able to recognize when an opportunity is there to improve depth and take advantage of it. The team had two chances to really improve the club and did nothing.... Anquan Boldin being sent to the Ravens was number 1. And TJ Houshmanzad-whatever being released was #2. Two marquee receivers... and we settle on Bernard Berrien... awesome. Adrian Peterson... follow your blockers. Its that simple. He cut the ball way too early instead of following Tahi or the pulling lineman, and it killed drives both times. Especially 4th and goal from the 1... follow Tahi instead of cutting up early, into a waiting linebacker, and it's a TD. But, at least he didn't fumble. The defense is the only bright spot... that's it. I love it... we not only have Favre for the year, but Childress for many more, and he's showing right now how completely inept at a head coach he is. But, one fluke season will get that for you...

Shiancoe got straight up robbed on that TD grab. The ruling almost made me laugh with the ground helping gain control of the ball.
The the abortion of a call in the Steelers game, I am really close to boycotting this NFL

I couldn't stop laughing at the game last night, I really couldn't.
First, and foremost, the officiating was a joke. The Shianco blow job was a nightmare. Some of the penalties, both ways, were a joke. I think it was one of the Packers that hit a Vike in bounds, and got nailed for a 15 yarder? I mean come the **** on. Secondly, it showed exactly why Brad Childress has no business running a team. Why, in the first half, you don't challenge that catch in the endzone is beyond me. ITS THE FIRST HALF! Time outs don't ****ing matter! And his play calling... **** me sideways while running up hill. Why not take a run at it on the final drive in the half? You're giving the ball back to them at the start of the half, you have a couple of weapons that have been gashing the Packer defense at every turn - use'em! His rationale was hilarious... "I didn't want to give them the ball back with 2 time outs." Dumbass, your punter can pin them deep! Its not like you're punting from your own endzone! God damn it, what a ****ing dingleberry **** stick! Thirdly, Phil Loadholdt is an embarrassment to right tackles everywhere. He raped Clay Matthews all night long, and I believe he only got one or two penalties all game long. Easily could have been 8-10 penalties on him alone. What a fat, retarded waste of flesh and bones he is. Newsflash dumbass, you're not in college where size and strength are all that matters... speed, technique and leverage are the key. Fourthly, where the **** is Jared Allen? Did he leave all his football skills on the set of Jackass? Has he recorded a sack this year? He wasn't even getting doubled last night, and Chad Clifton made him his bitch. Grow the mullet back, and justify your ****ing salary. Lastly, Brett Favre - just call it. Your limping around, throwing the game away is killing the team, and has killed the team. I understand you're a legend. I won't dispute that, but you're single handedly killing this team. You're trying to extend plays, I get that, but extend the plays and make the correct/safe throws, or throw the damn ball away. There is no excuse, whatsoever for the picks last night. None. It really looks like he's become an old boxer, that has had all the skills fall off the deepend, all at once, in a big time title fight, and now he's just getting mopped up. That's what it looks like, and last night, I think it was painfully obvious. On a side note, how awful is the NFC as a whole?

His being pissed off about no attempts at the end of the first half really hit home with me, and how much he wanted to win the game. throw in the fact that he's blocking for guys like Hines Ward, and he's making Percy Harvin a valuable slot receiver, he's easily becoming a big piece. Fact of the matter is this with Vikings offense... Favre has fallen off so far in terms of all critical quarter back elements, it's literally killing the team. The offense doesn't know if they want to run the ball and hammer it down teams throats, of if they want to be a west coast offense and throw the ball short every down. To me, its simple... let AP and Gerhart batter defenses. They are two huge backs, that run downhill, and punish guys. AP had well over 100 last night, Gerhart was ripping off nearly 5 a carry, and for ****s and giggles throw Tahi into the mix every now and again. Take the game out of Favres hands and put it in the power running game. I can't figure out for the life of me why the team isn't doing it. Every game, AP and Gerhart should be going about 25-30 and 7-10 attempts per running back. Line up, and smash teams in the ****ing mouth. Make them commit 8 and 9 to the box, let them sell out for the run, and then dig into them deep with play action. If you notice, when the team ran play action last night, they were ****ing money each time. Put Harvin and Moss out there together at all times. Put in an extra tight end or H-back and just pound teams with the running game, then go over the top. Its not hard to figure out, when you have the personnel this team has. Again, this is a clear cut smash on Childress and Bevell. They should have been able to realize that Favres skills are diminished and he's not on his game by week 4. Instead, the seasons' only savlagable if the other teams in the division play like the Da Bears from here on out. Otherwise, this super bowl aspiring team, will be sitting inside licking their wounds come January and February.
