At approximately 3:30pm Thursday, officers were dispatched to an apartment at 262 West State in Baton Rouge in reference to a complaint about a man attempting to force his way in to the complex through a security gate, police said. According to police news release: The man was confronted by a maintenance worker and words were exchanged. Before officers arrived the man had been let into the complex by a resident and was seen going into an apartment. When officers went to the apartment and knocked on the door it was answered by the resident, Tyrann Mathieu, age 20, police said.

"Officers immediately smelled a strong odor of marijuana and obtained consent from Mathieu to search the apartment", a police news release said. "Inside they found three other men, including the one who had allegedly tried to force his way through the gate. He was identified as Jordan Jefferson," police said. Police said the other two men were identified as Bryant and Hatcher.

Police said a search of the apartment found a marijuana grinder, digital scale and 10 bags of high grade marijuana. 7 of the bags were found inside Bryant's book sack, police said. All four men were taken into custody and arrested, police said.

It maybe tough to kill a honey badger, but drugs certainly have killed his career.

Amazing talent, but a ****ing retard. Good riddance.

I mean, I think everything should be legal and all that babble but it isn't. And this guy was pandered to and handed a clean slate to get his **** back together and even I bought in to it. Fully expected to see him suited up again next year. But I guess not.

Foolish.

Mathieu has to be the dumbest person alive today.Easily a top 5 pick in the NFL whenever he would have decided to enter the draft. He's pretty much smoked his career and millions of dollars away....

Its amazing what some people will give up for drugs.

Guess rehab did wonders for him.

It's amazing the type of criminals the SEC produces on a nearly yearly basis.

Jordan Jefferson, also arrested with Mathieu in this situation, was a 3 year starting QB at LSU before the bar fight that led to his departure.

Both of the other two were former defensive players as well.

I know it's an issue everywhere, but the SEC has been churning out just wretched pieces of garbage in recent years. Makes me wonder how bad things really are in southern institutions with the ridiculous rash of SEC football players suspended or kicked off teams because of drugs, alcohol and violence off the field.

I definitely feel that marijuana should be legal, but damn dude, way to throw your chances away. If I excelled at a sport and was considered pro material, you bet your damn life that I would keep my nose clean. These guys are given gifts and fuk it up all the time. Hard to feel bad for these dipsh1ts.

I'm sure the Raiders or Bengals will give him a shot eventually ;)

Imagine all that players that don't get caught.

Don't get me wrong, I am a huge SEC hater, but possesion isn't exactly strong enough in my opinion for you to talk about criminals. Hell, I wonder what % of students have possesed drugs in their collegate career. That said, yeah, he's an idiot.

I guess they're just simply less intelligent than the rest of the country because they keep getting caught. ;)

He had a big article in SI and was just talking about how he learned his lesson.
He apparantly had one of those babysitters too.
He sounds like a retard when he speaks so no surprise.

Yeah, I'd be saying those things too if I needed a team to take a risk on me and pay me millions.

The kids a piece of **** and will fight right in with the NFL where a copious amount of other pieces of **** reside.

One must first suit up with the Bengals. It's the NFL's version of a halfway house.:D

He is, but if he plays like he did at LSU, I wouldn't be mad if he was on my team.
