But, I also know this - it's the ****ing playoffs. Go after the QB with reckless abandon and try to get him out of the game. You would have to be blind, deaf, dumb and naive to think defenses don't try to do this through the playoffs.

Whatever it takes to win, and trying to knock out a QB falls into that scope.
Go after him with clean football hits. Not grabbing and twisting his ankle when he's down like I saw with Favre.

The game itself gives you license to knock the shiit out of someone. This whole bounty program encouraged players to go over the top IMO.

that still doesn't prove your point that i said that payton had no knowledge of it...those posts prove nothing except you're a retard and can't differentiate between what i said and what you're trying to use as proof for your clueless statement.

there is a pretty distinct difference between KNOWING about it and being INVOLVED in a situation no matter what that may be.

also wtf does payton have to do with this thread? this is about the players being suspended...

I can vaguely remember the hit you're referencing, but I can't remember them twisting the ankle while he was down. I remember the twisting motion to help bring him down... but like I said, it's a vague one at the moment (and no YT at work).

That's just it, you've got the license to kill already. If there is a bounty in place that allows you to hit a guy, still legally, so be it. Go for it. It's when you have guys throwing low or blind side hits on players unsuspecting that I have an issue with. And I can't remember any Saints going low or hard into unsuspecting opponents.

*Note, whoever posted that clip of the Saints hitting a Cardinals QB, Kurt Warner I want to say, that's what all teams want to, and try to do when a QB throws a pick. Again, from personal experience and the pros during interview, every team goes for this.
