I didn't expect the Bills to win yesterday, but having FJax and Spiller COMBINE for 12 carries and 60 yards is not the way to try and win a football game. Especially when your D can't stop anything. They were in the game until midway through the 4th when Chandler dropped a 3rd and 8 pass that would've resulted in a 1st down. Then Fitz did his usual cough the ball up late in the 4th quarter trick.

Horrible call, great clean hit, too bad refs have to throw the flag when somebody gets hit too hard.

Good for the NFL, faking an injury is just plain wrong. I remember seeng this on ESPN's "c'man man" and thinking that it was very obvious the injury was fake...

Quote:
The NFL levied $50,000 in fines Friday to the Pittsburgh Steelers and wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders for faking an injury during an Oct. 21 game in Cincinnati.

Sanders was fined $15,000 and the organization $35,000. Sanders grabbed the back of his leg and collapsed to the ground during the fourth quarter of Pittsburgh’s 24-17 win.

NFL executive vice president of football operations Ray Anderson handed out the discipline after meeting with Sanders last week.

Anderson said it found no evidence the Steelers, on an organization-wide basis, were instructing or condoning the faking of injuries for competitive purposes. ‘‘If I believed that to be the case, the discipline would be substantially more,’’ Anderson said.

Right because nobody else does that. Just happened there was a camera on him when he did it. Was a smart move on his part because otherwise we would have had to see Batch or Leftwich at QB for a play.

Goodell also fined Brown 15k for running into the endzone backwards...because that's nowhere near as bad as dunking on a goal post or spiking the ball at the wall either. He is about as consistent as Bettman and his goon squad.

running backwards is a sign of disrespect, its completely different then celebrating a td the right way instead of insulting the team your playing.

Amendola just told me he thought there was going to be a second overtime. Didn't know it was over till he heard from an official.

Plenty of guys have done that before and no fine. The NFL is about as consistent as Bettman and company.

Do you despise embellishment in hockey and soccer or is that somehow different than embellishment, or in this case outright faking, in football?

The Bills were so close! Two injurys during the last few minutes cost them their final two timeouts. Not that it would have mattered because Fitzpatrick always throws the game away. Now the Bills play on Thursday against another division rival. It just bothers Bills fans they should/could have have won the game...then it ends as usually.

The offense played a good game. Wannstedt's D gives up an average of 32 pts a game! Hard to win games like that. Patsies are beatable until they get their D in order.

Spiller is the man! Jax second fumble was not really his fault, he was out before he hit the ground. They could/should have won. Looks like there was a miscommunication on the last play. Oh well.

Pats getting bashed on radio stations, they should horrible defense. Refs helped them out yesterday also. They will win the division by no other teams in the Div. But will also get bounced pretty quickly.

Just stating that if you going to call one player for it you should call it for everyone then. It's happened before and I'm sure it will happen again.

I agree. The NY Giants did the same thing last year. This one is even more blatant than Sanders:

Giants Players Fake Injuries To Slow Down Rams...

0:39 is awful.
