Congrats to Ohio on their perfect season and trip to the National Championship game against ND!!!

No wait, thats not right is it?

Because, in part, to their former coach Tressel knowing about players breaking rules before he came forward Ohio went on a self imposed bowl ban this year . And in true Ohio Ignorant fashion they celebrated the 10 year anny of their 2002 nat. championship team on the field at half time honoring who?.....yep.... Tressel the very low class that kept them from going to the nat champ this year. And the Ohio Ignorants cheer the man!!!!

Can this school get any more ignorant? Something tells me they can and they will in the future.

And just to clarify Redtown...That thanks wasn't because I agree with you, but because your post wasn't a 3 page man-crush with Notre Dame.

Oregon has 7 wins against bowl eligible teams..all with at least 7 wins themselves.

Georgia is going to get hammered by Bama.
I might actually like Florida's resume the best amongst the one loss teams - beat LSU and So. Carolina at home, and won at Tex A&M, FSU, and Vandy. Of course, they did lose the tough one to Georgia (neutral site).

Georgia has a boatload of NFL talent, so we'll see.

i agree with you, i think Fla might be the best 1 loss sec team in my eyes. They have gotten better and better. Have a top 10 Off and top 10 Def

so reps from the orange and sugar bowls are gonna be in detoilet on friday night for northern illinois vs kent state...i take this with a grain of salt that it'll matter, but it's cool none the less.

plus now the nation can see the best qb not in a bcs conference in jordan lynch.

Florida confuses the hell out of me. The played well against tough teams, but struggled against teams they should have blown out.

I really hope Kent St. crashes the BCS party. That would be hilarious.

So with Rutgers and Maryland moving to the Big 10, I was reading an article about the next landscape shift. The ACC must now recruit a new member to replace Maryland and they apparently want Louisville.

The Big 12 is apparently after 2-4 teams that include Florida State, Louisville, BYU, and North Carolina.

The Pac-12 will also look to add and may poach some of the Big East teams.

I saw that Pitt is rumored to be regretting its decision of moving to the ACC and may actually try to move to the Big 12 to be with WVU again.

Also if Pitt wins I hope they play WVU in the ERA Pinstripe Bowl in NYC, I will be taking a roadtrip for that!

What's with all these schools looking to change conferences and all these conferences looking to add schools? I don't ever remembered such fervor surrounding these things like the last couple years.

I actually think NIU can crash it as well...there are no specifics as to which team they are there for, but seeing NIU in a BCS bowl would be awesome.

I think the "rule" is a non-bcs conference team would go to a bowl game if they finish in the top 16 and are ranked above all teams in a bcs conference (in this case the Big East has no teams in the top 25)

Right now Kent State is 17 and with a win could jump up if someone like UCLA/FSU/Nebraska or maybe Oklahoma lose.

NIU is 21, so the odds of them moving up that far are slim, but still possible.

and the saga at illinois continues lol

to fill in what most don't know...illinois got turned down last year by sumlin and a couple others. then settled on tim beckman. well beckman sucked and brought the football program to a low point in school history (according to media that follows team).

the a.d. that hired beckman has been going thru back channels trying to get him removed (with support of boosters). the removal would happen if the coach that mike thomas (a.d.) wanted would guarantee coming to illinois. unfortunately that didn't happen again and illinois is stuck with someone they don't want lol
