I love how Stanford beats USC and Oregon by punching them in the mouth. There is still room for smashmouth football, whether the media wants us for believe it or not.

Maryland and Rutgers to the Big 10. That will certainly make people respect the conference more

Here is what is going to happen....

(1) ND gets upset by USC and their frosh QB
(2) Bama rolls Auburn and beats (3) UGA in the SEC title game
(4) Fla beats (10) FSU
(5) Oregon beats (16) OreSt
(8) Stanford beats (17) UCLA

Setting up? You guessed it, Bama vs. Florida in the SEC, er, BCS Championship!!!

Scenario I could also see...

FSU, at home, beating Florida
UCLA, at home, beating Stanford
Oregon beating UCLA in the PAC-12 title game

Setting up? Bama vs. Oregon in the BCS title game.

I don't think the word "upset" is strong enough to describe the amount of disappointment that USC would cause with the win. ND owes it to their fans to win this. Trojans have always been the thorn in Irish's side...still bitter about the "Bush Push" in 2005. ND wins with authority.

Oh, no DOUBT!!! Plus, all those TV execs salivating at the thought of Notre Dame in the title game, let alone a match-up with say, Alabama.

While I am not a Kiffin hater, he does seem like a bit of a douche.

What I don't understand is where the hell did this come from? I thought the whole conference re-alignment had settled down, then the Big-10 comes out and grabs 2 more teams! Now it has me thinking that the Pac is looking to poach Big-12 again, as Big10 has 14, SEC has 14, and I am sure the ACC will steal someone to make 14 again...

Though I think the best comment I have seen on it is that the Big-10 should re-name their divisions the Red division and the others division.

The BUSH push didn't have this riding on it though. Every time one of my teams gets this far, they blow it. The biggest worry for me is the pressure. All year they have played like there was nothing to lose and to prove they're a good team. Now the pressure is on them. Saturday can't get here fasr enough.

The execs might want ND in the game, but most of thr hacks seem to want an all SEC final again. Or maybe they just want to be right. I didn't watch that garbage last JANUARY and won't watch an all SEC game again. That is just another Saturday night in the South to me.

I don't think its ever going to end. I like the comment that they should keep expanding to 64 and rename the conference Bigtendo 64.

They are just getting prepared for the day when there are 8 - 16 team super conferences.

don't be surprised if the sec goes to 16...clemson and florida state would make great additions for the conference along with the rivalries that are already there with teams in the sec.

oh and they is talks that uconn will be replacing maryland in the acc as well...we'll see how true that is shortly though.

also out there via espn is that boise state, san diego state and byu are talking to the mountain west to get back into the conference as well...don't know how much traction there is to that, but thought i'd throw it out there.

I guess the question with FSU and Clemson would be how much power does Florida have to prevent such a move, correct?

Too bad all those teams ditched the mountain west to begin with, it was a pretty decent conference when you compared to some of the others that were out there at the time.
