I can't comprehend the BCS anymore. I really can't. That's why I've pretty much stopped caring about the rankings.

Bama drops to #4, despite a home loss of more than a field goal to a team not even in the top 10? A two loss Stanford team with wins over #11 and #2 doesn't get rated above over other 2 loss teams with a single ranked win, or ranked wins against lesser opponents (see South Carolina).

I get it. The SEC is better than the world at football. But come the **** on with these bull**** rankings, and their bull**** justifications.

I was shocked by Stanford too only moving up 1 spot too. But A&M jumps 7.

I was trying to think when the last time an SEC team played a game against a tough non-conference team on the road. Every big non-conference game they have played is on a "neutral field" aka Texas or Florida, or somewhere in SEC country.

Your guess is as good as mine. Didn't Bama have a game at Penn State a few years back? Or was that PSU going to Bama?

It was a home and home series, LSU beat Oregon at a "neutral" field,in Dallas a year ago.

i blame the computers for the ****ed up rankings...one team wins close and jumps over a team that wins by 35. the computers is what's wrong with the system imo.

But the computers are basing everything off of Human rankings, and 2/3 is human polls.

For instance: How the hell is Ohio State not ranked above Alabama in the AP poll? And I hate Ohio State! (I realize the AP doesn't go into the BCS, but this bias works through the other polls as well, IMO).

Disclaimer here, I love the BCS and madness it brings.

But yeah guys, Alabama is the best 1 loss team, there's 3 undefeated teams left. 4 is where they belong for now.

I really hope the Seminoles beat the Gators in a couple weeks so they start getting some respect. Being ranked behind South Carolina is a joke.

imo the biggest reason is because they aren't eligible for anything and voters are not gonna give credit to a team that can't factor into postseason play...

if the computers were basing if off the human polls, wouldn't they completely resemble the polls then? i don't know for sure, but i think there are other factors in the computer rankings because each formula for each computer ranking is different, hence so many and the average is taken for the bcs poll

I don't think the computers use human polls as a factor. The BCS as a whole combines the computer rankings with the human polls. I could be wrong, but I thought that's how it worked.

LOL first thing on my local hick radio station, Monday Morning...

They were talking about the chances of all 3 undefeated teams losing, and how 2 SEC teams can play for the title like it's supposed to be.

The thing is, if only one of KSU or Oregon lose, I bet they sure try and get a 1 loss Bama or Georgia over ND...
