Don't forget A&M was just last year 4-5 in the Big12 and now here they are beating "unstoppable" SEC juggernaut Alabama, I guess their switch to the SEC must have done it.

I really don't like the whole conferece set up, because you don't play anyone else, then make claims based on what you did against your own conference about how you compare to another conference! Also, the only way you will play an out of conferece is to schedule them for the first game, or play in a bowl game, either of which you will have had time to prepare for at least a month, and rest up and heal any injuries. In this case it is not a true judge of your teams ability.

Take last year, I would have loved to see what Oregon does against LSU once it hits full stride and gets everything clicking. Oh well.

And Auburn was 2-5 in 2009 against SEC opponents. What's your point?

I was just pointing out the fact that a team moved over from another conference and knocked out the top dog first year in, was it that hard to understand?

Additionally, since this is their first year in the conference, it could be argued that they did that with a Big-12 team built of Big-12 recruits. I believe Manziel is a red shirt freshman? so you can't say they were able to recruit him using the SEC name.

I can see where you are coming from, especially now that I think about it, and I did come off as an ass, sorry about that, haha!

I think thats what he is saying. A&M is still essentially a Big 12 team this year playing in the SEC and they are handling themselves just fine.

No problem, What Baronking said is what I was trying to say. One other thing I noticed was how they kept saying last night that A&M was a couple scores from being undefeated with a 3 point loss to Fla. and a 5 point loss to LSU, that is true but they were also a few points away from being a 4 loss team with a 3 point win at Ole Miss and a 2 point win at La. Tech.

I hate when people say that. Someone said MSU was 10 points away from being a 1 loss team. Yeah they are, but that's just more of an indication that they can't win close games.

I was talking to a GA fan at work tonight and even he was saying he thinks the SEC is overrated.

All because a different team in their conference loses each week. And they keep beating each other. Just shows we won't completely get away from this with playoffs.

Right, and if 8 or 9 teams are ranked to start the season just about every win is against a "ranked" opponent

I just can't believe a home loss against #15 and you drop 3 spots.

Wonder how far Oregon would fall if they lose to a 2 loss Stanford team ranked the same as TAMU next week?
