CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A Pittsburgh man suffered severe head injuries and others also were hurt when unknown assailants attacked them after Saturday's football game in Morgantown, family members said.

Authorities have not identified the victims, but Helen Smith said her son-in-law, Marcus Mason, and daughter, Hannah, of Pittsburgh, were among those attacked. She said they were stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic outside Milan Puskar Stadium when someone threw a rock in the car's driver's side window.

Hannah, who is 22 weeks pregnant, was driving at the time. The rock landed in her lap, Smith said.

When her husband asked a group of people who threw the rock, several individuals approached the vehicle.

Classy as always. WVU isnt a school of higher learning, its a state prison with the scum of the world. They once threw batteries, tampons, and condoms at the Pitt players. I hope that school burns down one day, what a joke to even let them play any form of sports ever.

Not that I condone what the West Virginia people did, and this isn't the first time I've heard of them doing something like that, but why were Pittsburgh fans in Morgantown when Pitt was playing at home?

They wern't Pitt fans, they are LSU fans. After Katrina we had a vast majority of the New Orleanes population come to Pittsburgh, some have gone back and some have stayed. A lot of them still represent their teams here very well too here in Pittsburgh.

Ah. Gotcha. I didn't know that about the Katrina victims and I didn't know they were LSU fans. As a fan of SU I hear stories every year of the West Virginia doing similar things to our fans. Not saying every college doesn't have these types of people but there seem to be more of these types in Morgantown.

I know far too many people who have gone to WVU from around the area. It's a shame that the GPA level to get into the college is 2.20. That should tell you everything you need to know about that place. It's absolutley the worst campus in the world. I would rather go to Temple before I go to WVU, at least there you get robbed instead of stabbed and beat.

i just had a guy come work for me for about a week from west virginia. this guy was a mother****ing dumb****. i say a week because thats all i could tolerate of him. he was so dumb it was shocking. he went to see at WV as well.

The weird part is how he even got to NY? I really can't stand most of their "fans", they play innocent but being hit with batteries is no joke.

Every time I see a WV plate when I'm driving I try to stay as far away from them as possible. There really isnt anything worth saving from that state. I'm ashamed to say I live so close to a place that sucks so badly.

New Jersey looks like Florida compared to WV.

They looked really good tonight, Graham is something else, I don't think too many people saw this azz whipping coming.

USF was wayyyy over inflated. They dont play anyone, much like most of the Big Easy. Other then Syrcause and WVU I cant even name a team so of these schools played.

Still pisses me off, we should be 5-0 but 2 fourth quarter collapses to ND and Iowa robbing us of any chance of a perfect season. Hopefully we can get into a BCS game.

Pitt is in the drivers seat now. No one except for West Virginia should pose a threat to Pitt in the Big East and winning the conference and the BCS berth. The conference is incredibly weak right now. That being said, with no dominant team, and a couple upsets here and there, anybody can sneak in and win the title ala UConn last year.

I'm thinking of making the trip down to Pitt December 3 for the Pitt SU game. Be awesome if the conference title was on the line one way or another.
