That's a good question. I think once he matures a bit and doesn't feel like he has to win games single handed, then he can be a good qb. His arm strength is in question now with the second surgery on his shoulder but hell the media said brady had a weak arm.

Stanton is very mobile and became a good pocket passer in the spread offense in his senior year. So I think in a few years he can be a quality passer, but will it happen....you never know. Also I am not being a homer here, but I think he can be good.

what the hell, red, rj, daaa b's? The lions start off the season by pistol whipping the raiders and no responses.

I was working so I didn't watch the game, but it sounded like kitna and the lions were able to move the ball at will through the air. Good start to the season getting a victory, let's see if they can build on it.

just was scanning through box scores of the atlanta game and thank god harrington is gone. No td's and 2 pics. Kitna looks like montana more and more every game we dont have the piano playing feg

So what if it's just the Raiders, it's all you need to build momentum, and on the sideline in the final minute, the Lions looked like a team ready to ride it into next week. Hell I'll take a win over a lousy team than an effotless loss against Green Bay.

Which brings me to this, you're calling Oakland a lousy team? Who exactly did the Vikings beat? Ask ANYBODY in this thread and they will tell you about a boy called Joey Harrington, who actually completed more passes and threw for more yards than Jackson. His only mistake was throwing two picks. The defense won the game for Minny.

I was watching the game on and off and I think two things

1. I agree with what you said earlier, This O could be nuts this year. If the line can stay healthy the only thing that can stop the O is themselves. With those 4 WR...lookout.

2. I wasn't impressed how the Lions gave up a 20 points lead in the second half but was very impressed at how they came back down the field to reclaim the lead as if to say, This is our game. How many times in the past have you seen them go 3 and out, have a pick, fumble, whatever. That was refreshing.

On to the Vikes..at home...Joey What a joke.

As do I. He seems to throw an INT or two every game but with the set of receivers he has this year I could see him throwing 30+ TD's and 4,000+ yds. Pretty good for being my #2 QB. I saw very little of the game but the offense was dynamite as many expected. With these receivers this could be one of the best offenses since The Greatest Show on Turf and we just happen to have the architect of that offense as our OC. Hopefully, the D can play strong enough to win a bunch more games and maybe even go .500.

well KIP is over in the vikes team thread talking a lot of smack. Thge lions only have one victory and years of horrible defeats so my backing up the lions with a little lip back cant be justified just yet.

I do think the lions are gonna take the vikes, minny's offense looks retchid and detroits looks pretty darn good, especially on turf. I think the vikes will put some points on the board, and their defense is head over heels better than oakland, but we have to score when oppurtunities are given and I think the honululu and blue will start off 2-0

If we do win, I expect to see some KIP bashing in the weeks to come

You guys can have that game. ****ing Jackson and Bollinger made me not even want it.

The 4 wide out set looked very good - but keeping Kitna upright looked pretty tough in that set. He took a beating today - but his heart alone was enough for the Lions to deserve this game.

2-0 is real strange in the world of a Lion s fan. I don't get to see 'em much except when they play the Bears or Thanksgiving. What happened to Kitna? I saw taht he came back in to the game for OT?
