The Detroit Lions Thread

Well it is that time of year for another football season, and yes the lions still field a team despite the track record.

We had a lions suck thread last year, maybe this year Kitna and the lions will give us something to cheer about.

I am excited about Tatum Bell and the possibility of a great passing attack with Roy Williams and Calvin Johnson on the outside, and Mike Furrey catching everything across the middle.

I am not excited about our O-line or defensive backfield.

What are your thoughts lions fans?

I think the only question about the Lions will be if them or the Packers take the spot as the suckiest team in the division?

Another year when they come out and talk about turning the page. Talk about playoffs, etc...same old same old.

They gave Redding 7 years and $50 million and he's not even the best on the Lions D line forget about highest paid in the league. What a joke. That continues to scream bad decisions.

The problem is at the very top of this club.

All it will take is for Kitna, Williams, Sims to go down to injury and out come the excuses again.

Until I see good decisions on and off the field I'll continue to laugh at this club.

As I say, even a blind squirel finds a nut once in awhile. If so, maybe 8-8, 10-6. Otherwise, as usual, 4-12, 6-10

The question is...How bad can Millen make the Lions? I swear it's a goal of his, to make all of Detroit miserable

Red I agree with you, but they might suprise us offensively this year and be entertaining to watch.
I agree again and have posted similiar thoughts on the bumbling ownership, but i have some hope this year. I think the lions can do 8-8, and hell I will be happy with that.

O'well this thread can be used as a place to bash or compliment.

Let's see how the season treats us.

I thought their O was entertaining last season. But compared to previous season...Joey...it couldn't be worse.

Joey drops back, fires a long bomb way down field, into triple coverage and it's intercepted 5 yards from the ling of scrimmage:D

At least we got this guy signed and he doesn't miss all of training camp. Good start

I know it's pre-season and millen is running the team, but a win and come from behind at that. Almost 500 yards passing, this season could be fun.

Calvin johnson didn't show up on the score board, but he sure did draw a lot of attention from the opposing D, freeing up everybody else.

Good to get a victory under the lions belt, regardless if it is preseason.

Look out NFL, the mighty Lions are now 2-0!!

Red it must be because of the spartan pride on the team now. You know red...green and white with stanton and tj. duckett. That's got to be it

Duckett ran over and through the Browns last night.

He wants some carries this year. Good to see.

Stanton is out for the season.

You should remember that shoulder injury, it happened against michigan two years ago when state was puttin a whoopin on the wolverines. Then you guys put him out with a separated shoulder and it's never been the same since. Plus you went on to win the last 100 years against state.

Go lions

Ohhhh of course I remember when Woodley drove him into the ground like a tooth pick. I didn't realize it was the same injury.
