I dont know how it could fairly enforced, but i think strength of schedule is something that needs to be addressed. Im sick of seeing Ohio State play Akron and Toledo and as many other gimme's as possable.

I hear you. In fact, I would have nothing against the BCS and the way it is right now if it wasn't the schools making their own schedules!

And I don't agree with you on the one loss thing, that is not true for any other sport, why so for college football? Though I realize this is just personal preference.
Oh trust me, I know it has nothing to do with the "students." That's why it's in quotes. But, that's the quote you'll get from the NCAA, and the quote they've used in the past in that the student athletes would be on the road for too long and missing too much studies.

You and I, and everyone else, all know it's all about the money.

The one loss thing, while a personal preference, in the grand scheme of things, this is a short season at generally 13 games. It's a lot different than basketball or hockey where you have double that, if not triple so losing is kind of accepted given the number of chances to be beat.

In college football, I'd like to see it at 16 games. Except, to reward the highest seeds/conference winners, I'd like to reward them with a home game in the playoffs. Then, the 8 teams that advance, go to neutral sites and so on.

every time the ncaa spews out student-athlete when referring to a high profile sport, i chuckle and think to myself, "they really can't buy that crap can they?" though for some reason those clowns keep that phrase and use it way too damn much
