Yankees exercise option on Swishalicious

I just came in here and John Sterling blows. I remember that jackoff from his WMCA days in the mid 1970's when he was always bragging about eating at some french restaurant and playing tennis with Kevin Loughery!
He had a sports call in show and was a real pric* to the callers! I remember one time some young kid called in, maybe around 12 and was nervous and Sterling yelled at the poor kid and told him that his acne was oozing throught the radio and to get the hell off the phone!
Sterling was a real loudmouth obnoxious pric* who was always bragging about himself and everything was about John Sterling!
Then he had that goddamn Islander call as their announcer whenever an Islander scored a goal, he'd say Islander Goal, Islander Goal, Islander Goal about 20 goddamn times. It was the same bushleague announcing crap that he pulls as a Yankee announcer!
John Sterling was a dic* in 1975 and he's still a dic*!

I find him very entertaining at times. Only slight problems with him as an announcer.

You do realize you're justifiying his existance on the Yankees based upon the reg season now? You now are happy with his Aug perfomance? Glad to see him go yard on AA pitchers of the Cubs in July? Winning is all about producing in Oct. Hit .400 with 70HRs and 300RBI in the reg season....big fuking deal if you're a failure in Oct.

Nothing you say changes the fact that he is one of the biggest choke artist baseball has ever seen.


What exactly is the point of "getting there" if you're just going to fail? Because winners never quit? To enjoy the ride? Half the fun is the chase of getting there?

And you realize getting there is most of the battle (95%?). What have they recently been saying about the playoffs? They're a crapshoot (which has been borne out). I believe he has one title in three seasons, correct? I'll take it.

Take a look at which thread you're in.

But yeah, fuk that. Say its all about getting in the playoffs all you want. While you do have to get in to win it the guy is a career clutch failure no matter how many excuses , rationalizations or however you want to spin it.

Its astonishing that Yankee fans accept and make excuses for this failure.

My brother is a big Yankee fan and has been for almost 40 years. He's been savaging Swisher in some of the text messages he's sent me. The guy is a straight clown and a fraud. He's all giggles, smiles and wild histrionics in the dugout when he gets a meaningless pile it on HR in July....but when the chips are down in the postseason he shows that he's really just a little bitch at heart.
