We walked right by Stans, they had a lot of souvenir shirts, hats and stuff they were hawking. Some of the shirts were pretty funny. I like how they turned the old stadium into a park. Up a little on Jerome Ave. I think it was there was a skate park right in the middle of all the hustle. When you are there you definitely know you aren't in Kansas anymore.

Yeah, I wouldn't go too far up on Jerome Ave. lol. Stay on the River Ave side of it. Around Stan's it's all guys trying to sell Yankee memorabilia, some of the shops are okay though. The stores have been there for a long time. At River and 161st, there's more shops and bars/restaurants etc. That's where most of the pre or post game crowd hangs out.

My one friend that was along said that it is really nice, I will get up there one day. I think my next trip will be out to PNC Park in Pgh, another friend of mine who has since died used to rave about it all the time and now that they don't suck so bad it would be worth the trip I think.

I highly recommend seeing a game at PNC. There isn't anything not to like about it. Great place to watch a game and is now much easier to get to with the subway extending to just outside the park. Lots of good places to hang out before and after games too.
